CBA Looking Forward to Facing Friars

Christian Brothers will look to continue their impressive play this Saturday against St. Anthony’s. CBA has played phenomenally on their way to a 6-1 start. Their only loss of the season came via a six point heartbreaker against a highly accredited Don Bosco team. A major key to CBA’s success thus far has been the outstanding play of senior Pat Andree. The 6’8 forward¬†has scored 74 points in his last two games, including a remarkable performance against Moses Brown (RI), Where he hit 7 three pointers. CBA, and Andree, will be looking to repeat last year’s successful season, when they won the Non-Public A South sectional title, and made it to the Group Final.

“My goal for this season is to win a shore conference championship and compete for a state championship with my teammates” Andree told Moreover, Andree says that he has been putting in the work to make sure he and his teammates achieve this goal.

Since the end of last season, he has been training with ex-NFL Defensive Lineman Val Barnaby to take his game to the next level. “I feel confident in my abilities and am excited for the opportunity to show what my team and I can do” he said.

Andree certainly has good reason to be confident, as his play thus far has been outstanding. It should be interesting to see how he fairs against a solid St. Anthony’s team, an opponent he is looking forward to facing. “My team and I are extremely excited to play in the hoop group tip off showcase against a team of great caliber like St Anthony, it is an incredible opportunity that we are hoping to compete and capitalize on” Andree told us. He also pointed out that this is his last opportunity to play against the Friars. We will see if perhaps his last match up, against the perennial powerhouse, will ultimately lead to his first win against them.
