Philly Jam Fest: Day Two 16U Standouts

2013 UA Pitt Jam Fest
Kelly Kline | Under Armour

DeShawn Corprew | 6-6 | Frank Cox (Va.) | 2016
Tallied 29 points in an 84-67 Team Loaded Gore (Va.) victory over F.O.E. and added another 18 in a win over Philly Triple Threat later in the day.

Anthony Carr | 5-11 | Abington Friends (Pa.) | 2016
Carr’s 23-point effort in Philloy Triple Threat’s 82-76 double overtime win over the Jersey Shore Warriors included the game-tying 3-pointer at the end of regulation and the game-winning 3-pointer in overtime.

Derrick Jones, Jr. | 6-7 | Archbishop Carroll (Pa.) | 2015
After enjoying an eye-opening performance at last weekend’s Pitt Jam Fest, and receiving an offer from Syracuse during the week, the 180-pound small forward brought his A-game once again the Philly Jam Fest. Jones played a solid all-around game and netted 24 points in We R 1’s 70-38 victory over JB Hoops.

Austin Hall | 5-11 | Annandale HS (Va.) | 2015
The quick Virginia Elite guard displayed control from the point and stayed focused through a high-pressure double overtime win over Team Loaded 757. He finished with 12 points in the win but it was his cool demeanor from the free throw line which earned him a spot on this list. Hall hit a free throw in regulation which forced Team Loaded to need a miracle shot to force overtime and then in the second overtime, his two late free throws put Elite ahead for good.

Romelo Anderson | 6-3 | Heritage HS (Va.) | 2015
The sophomore forward demonstrated his ability not only score, and score from almost anywhere on the floor, but also his ability to hit the big shot in the clutch. Despite his Team Loaded 757 team losing to Virginia Elite 70-68 in double overtime, Anderson dropped in 22 points, including a buzzer-beating 3-pointer with 1.8 seconds to go to force double overtime.

Myles Stephens | 6-4 | St. Andrew’s (Del.) | 2014
Currently at Pennington (N.J.), Stephens will be transferring to St. Andrew’s next year. He scored 21 points in NJ Roadrunners’ 68-66 win over KSK on Saturday and showed off nice athleticism, a high energy level, and a good feel. A top-line student, Stephens has Ivy and Patriot League schools hot on his tail.
