45PM– Players have been going hard during scrimmages and showcasing their ability in from of the camp’s coaches. Judging from the abundance of talent here early on at camp this session, it looks like it’s going to shape out into another great session for Hoop Group Elite. –@CabWashington

35PM– The play of the day thus far has got to be Justin Bassey’s (Colorado Academy, Co., 2016) one-handed slam in transition. He caught the defense back-peddling on the fastbreak, so the sophomore made them pay by blowing past them and finishing with a rim-rattling  dunk! #Niceeeee. Keep checking out the LIVE Blog for more recaps on players and updates going on during the rest of  Day One of Academic Elite 2.-@CabWashington

00PM- Scrimmages have been full of intensity, a great way to start Academic Elite 2. One guy that has stood out with his shooting is Anthony Gibbs, a smaller guard that can heat up quickly. During a five minute scrimmage, Gibbs was able to knock down three three-pointers that set the pace for the rest of his team. –@AndrewKoob

35PM- The scrimmage portion of day one is complete and the campers are ready to run through stations. Plenty of campers were going 100 percent during the scrimmages, let’s see who still puts in that effort and hustle during stations. –@AndrewKoob

15PM-With station workouts just concluding, players have returned back to the Bollman Center to hear an insightful lecture from guest speaker and head coach of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Coach Danny Nee. –@CabWashington

15PMCoach Nee finished his presentation leaving campers with yet another great basketball message. Nee preached accountability and encouraged campers to really sit down and think about what kind of player they want to be. We will see how guys will respond to that theme tomorrow as Day Two will present plenty of opportunities for players to hone in are their skills and show spectators how they look to #BeElite. –@CabWashington
