Reading, PA– This is it. Somehow we made it to our last camp of the summer.  Year in and year out, Future All-American Camp is one of the best camps of the summer. A chance to see some younger talent, FAA Camp allows us to see some of tomorrow’s stars showcase their skills. Here’s a fact: 20% of the players named to the 2015 McDonald’s All-American Team were at Future All American Camp three years earlier. So get ready for a fantastic week of basketball, and be sure to follow the live blog, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube for complete coverage.

Wednesday, Day 4

12:47 pm

As the championship games come to a close, so will the live blog. It’s almost time for award ceremonies and we will head to Twitter for the rest of coverage on the five all star games for this afternoon. Be sure to be on the look out for award winners and all stars to be posted later tonight.

12: 03 pm

11:14 am People saying Martin Mann is showing shades of his older brother Terrance. Don’t be surprised when D1s start reaching out to him as well.

10:56 am Treston Richardson will be a freshman at Holy Cross this upcoming season. He’s proving to be a natural scorer, finishing in the lane through contact. He has two old fashioned three point plays in as many possessions. –@TheHoopGroup 9:06 am It’s amazing how fast this week, and this summer flew by. Last day of camp for the summer here at Albright. Campers are currently working hard at their last stations of the week and championship games will begin right after. Let’s end the summer with a bang!

Tuesday, Day 3

10: 43 pm Camp ends with a lot of excitement! Great last game in Bollman to end the day. One day of camp left for the week, and the summer. Be sure to be back here tomorrow for All-Star Wednesday (sounds a bit funny doesn’t it?) 10: 14 pm What a way to end the night. Campers line up along the sideline to watch the night cap in Bollman.

10:02 pm Love the play of Miles Latimer to end the night. Paul VI rising sophomore getting to the paint and and showing some hidden strength finishing through contact. 9:36 pm In case you’ve missed it, check out Monday’s list of top performers. Many more coming from today’s events

Day 2 Top Performers

8:01 pm Amazing how tonight is the last night of Elite Camp for the summer. It just flew by!

7: 06 pm It’s amazing to watch guys like Tyree Pickron (Archbishop Wood ’18) and Chase Audige (Hill School ’18) lock up and compete on the defensive end of the floor. Every single possession they are giving 100% on D. –@TheHoopGroup 6:25 pm

5:58 pm Jalen Smith has been living up to his top billing this week at camp. Read the full story here:IMG_3338 5:06 pm

Certainly been a dunk fest this week. Lot of high major players, lot of high major highlights #HGElite   A photo posted by Hoop Group (@hoopgroup) on

4:15 pm Chris Childs (Masters School ’18), who plays for Harlem United, has proven to be a tough, heady PG with great change of pace and ability to control the tempo on offense. We’ve seen him at a lot of Hoop Group events and he continues to grow! IMG_3523 3:34 pm Jonathan Kabongo has impressed as one of the top guards at camp! Read about him here in a HG Player Feature: Jonathan Kabongo Rise to the Occasion    FullSizeRender 2:52 pm Look for Rodrique Massenat (Patrick School ’18) to make our list of Day 2 top performers! 1:56 pm Corner 3’s and floaters. Coach Hurley is teaching campers how to properly execute and score from these two areas/moves on the floor.

12:42 pm Scouts have been impressed all week long with A LOT of different players. Couldn’t ask for a better week.

11:02 am A lot of bigs have impressed this week. Ben Hendricks (Our Lady of Mt. Carmel ’19) is 6’9, but could end up being a wing when it’s all said and done. He’s shown spurts where he can be great driving the ball from the three point line. Would make for a deadly slasher. –@JN_Albano 10:17 am Special lecture today as players will get to hear from Hall of Fame high school coach, Bob Hurley. Coach Hurley speaks a lot at Hoop Group Camps, and you can always manage to take something new away every time. With so many young players in the building this week, Coach’s lecture is a spectacular chance to learn. –@TheHoopGroup 9:13 am Back for another day of FAA Camp here at Albright! In case you fell asleep early yesterday, here’s what you missed: Hoop Group made it onto SportsCenter! Silvio De Sousa had two monster dunks last night that made it onto the #SCTop10!

Monday, Day 2

10:26 pm That puts an end to our second day. Camp just keeps getting better and better and the highlights just keep rolling in! Unbelievable display of talent so far. As always, be sure to check us out on Twitter and Instagram for player coverage! 9:32 pm Couple rising freshman who have impressed so far: Maxwell Lorca-Lloyd and Kenny Tyree. Complete opposites on the floor, but both play so hard and with a lot of heart. Lorca-Lloyd is a skilled post inside while Tyree is a quick and offensive minded guard. Both players will have promising high school careers. –@JN_Albano 8:58 pm Jalen Smith told @GiveNGobball that he received offers from Marquette, Miami and Providence

8:18 pm Silvio De Sousa continues to put on a show for the entire camp: 6:49 pm The combination of Tyree Pirckron, Chase Audige and Ariji Johnson has been fun to watch so far this week. 3:06 pm Marcus Littles Jr, a 2018 from Academy New Church, is proving to be a presence inside. Physically, he’s strong as an ox and has some grit to his game. Has no issue taking and giving contact. –@TheHoopGroup 2:19 pm Lot of guys feeling good after their first sets of games this morning. Afternoon sets coming up now!

1:37 pm Chance to relax the legs and work out the brain; camp lecture with former Division 1 Coach Danny Nee.

12:36 pm Rounding out the morning are two future high major guards. Immanuel Quickley (John Carroll ’18) and Jahvon Quinerly (Hudson Catholic ’18) are both tremendous floor generals who hold high major Division 1 offers. Expect to here a lot about them on a national level in the future –@TheHoopGroup 12:01 pm We have mentioned Roman Catholic freshman Mikeal Jones already. He looks to become the next big player out of Philly as he enters high school this fall. @TheTeddyBailey has the scoop: Mikeal Jones Eager to start at Roman   Mikeal Jones 3 11:23 am
