Elite Session III All-Star Rosters Announced

NBA East All Star Elite III 2012
After a successful four-day camp session during the Division I “live” recruiting period, a select group of players at Hoop Group Elite III were awarded with selection to an all-star game.

All-star selections are determined by the Hoop Group coaching staff and league commissioners. At Elite III, there were three leagues: NBA East, NBA West, and Fab Frosh/Super Soph. All-star rosters are listed below, along with a recap of each all-star game.

White All-Stars 56, Blue All-Stars 55. The White All-Stars came out on top in this thriller, and Lamell Washington garnered MVP honors by leading all scorers with 15 points. Elite III NBA East Most Outstanding Player Jamal Custis also came up big, scoring 10 points and sinking the game-winning free throw with one second left on the clock. Maurice McDonald and Ayron Hutton played well for Blue, leading the team with nine points each.

Blue All-Stars 72, White All-Stars 66.
Romario Allen was named MVP of a highly entertaining game, scoring 20 points and leading the Blue All-Stars to a six-point victory. Isaiah Foust added 11 for Blue, and Malcolm Walters played a strong floor game while scoring six points himself. Tyler Stancil had 13 points in a losing effort, shooting well from outside the arc. Kyle Coleman also scored 12 for the White All-Stars.

Blue All-Stars 49, White All-Stars 35.
Ameka Akaya scored nine points and was a beast on the boards for the Blue All-Stars, earning game MVP honors for his performance. Shaun Belbey led all scorers with 10 points,and Blue teammates Aaron Lee and Reagan Jones had eight and seven points each, respectively. Matthew Schaengold led the White All-Stars with seven, and Joshua Ayeni added six, playing a strong defensive game as well.
