Freeman’s Highlight Reel Dunk Caps First Day at Hoop Group Elite Camp Session 1

Elite Outside

Half-Court Trap is a trimmed down version of the Full-Court Press and will spotlight five players daily.

Elite Camp Session 1, Day 1
Lenard Freeman, 6’6”, St. John’s Prep, Washington, DC, 2013
Freeman turned in one of the first sensational dunks of the week when he flushed home a teammate’s alley-oop pass off the backboard displaying incredible athleticism. He also recorded a tip-dunk in the same game. Freeman is strong with the ball and absorbs contact well on the offensive end and when crashing the boards.

Eric Fanning, 6’4”, Perkiomen School, Pennsburg, PA, 2012
Fanning put on a high-flying performance on the first day, throwing down a two-handed dunk and reverse in transition. He showed quick elevation on a blocked shot that preceded another monstrous dunk on the offensive end. In addition to his high-flying skills, he demonstrated a willingness to dive on the floor for a loose ball.

Andrew Cannon, 6’3”, St Peter’s, Staten Island, NY, 2012
Cannon made his mark on the defensive end on the first day. He played aggressive defense when guarding the ball that forced multiple turnovers. Cannon demonstrated that he can finish in transition with contact. He possesses good court vision as he routinely found open players, including a half-court bounce pass off of a defensive rebound that led to a transition lay-up for a teammate.

Anthony Libroia, 5’9”, Holy Cross, Flushing, NY, 2012
Libroia showed he has all the tools of a good point guard. He knocked down several long-range shots, routinely found teammates for wide open looks, and protected the ball under pressure and in traffic. When pressured, he went around his man with ease and attacked the rim for a strong finish.

Myles Melville, 6’4”, Hun School, Princeton, NJ, 2013
Melville used his muscular frame to convert several tough finishes around the rim, including a contested lay-up and a dunk. He was very steady with the ball dribbling through traffic and under pressure from a double-team.
