Team analysis: North Bay Basketball Academy (NBBA) is a relatively new program in only its 8th year in California’s North Bay Area. As it has grown in size each year and this spring suits up 80+ boys and girls teams, the Showcase High School program has improved each and every year.

The team is led by head coach Doug Donnellan: Doug coached the varsity team at Drake High School for 23 years, appearing in the CA State Title game in 1994 and 2014. In 2013, he was inducted into the Marin County Athletic Foundation Hall of Fame and was named the North Coast Section Basketball Honor Coach of the Year. In 2014, he was named the Northern California Division 3 Coach of the Year. Having a grizzled vet like Donnellan gives this team a definite advantage in regards to in game adjustments.

“Our expectation is that this year’s team will use its high IQ and improved athleticism to continue the development that has become a staple of our program,” said Brock Winter. The team this year is loaded with talent. One of the standouts is Kevin Kremer. The talented wing has seen interest from the Big West, Ivy, Patriot, WCC. UCSB also has serious interest in Kremer. 6’9 frontcourt player Manny Adeoye also has garnered interest from Patriot League and strong D2 programs. Wing Damiri Lindo has seen some interest from Big West and WCC programs. Ethan Menzies has got the attention of numerous programs on all levels of collegiate basketball. Viktor Rajkovic is also a front-court player who will play a big role on this team.

Stat to know: Kevin Kremer is a 2-time Northern Section Player of the Year and was a part of the 2017-18 CA D2 State Championship team.
