Rookie Roundballers

Our Rookie Roundballers program is designed to teach the most basic fundamentals of the game to the games’ youngest players.  Our aim is to help very young players learn to love to play the game while developing the most basic skills that will provide them with a foundation to build upon as they grow up into the sport.

The focus in Rookie Roundballers is to offer each participant an opportunity to learn to dribble, pass and shoot the ball while learning the basics of offensive and defensive footwork.  The program focuses on the following skills and concepts:

1 – Have Fun and Love to Play!
2 – Learn to Dribble with Both Hands
3 – Learn to Shoot a Lay-up
4 – Learn to Pass
5 – Learn how to Jump Stop
6 – The Basics of Team Play
