9:00AM– Third day of Elite Camp 3 is upon us and campers will not only be fighting the competition on the court, but the fatigue that is sure to set in after a hard-fought day of basketball yesterday. Who can step up and stand out on the big stage? Follow here throughout the day to find out. –@AndrewKoob

10:00AM- With the stations over, we are ready to play some games! Djalel Boukrerdenna(Spain) has started the day with two quick buckets down in the paint, showing us that big men can move without the ball! –@JakerBaker58

10:30PMMichael Silverthorn (Blair Academy, 2014) is once again doing what he does best and that’s knocking down shots from deep. Silverthorn just connected on back-to-back treys putting up some nice point production early on in his team’s scrimmage being played this morning.-@CabWashington

11:05AM- There’s been a lot of tough defense this morning, as we’e seen some low scoring games thus far. One player who has really stepped up his defensive effort today is Herbie Brown III(Brandy Wine, Wilmington, DE). His on-ball defense leaves no room for the ball handler, and he’s doing a great job of help defense and calling out assignments as well. It’s this type of attitude that helps you #BeElite! –@JakerBaker58

11:24AM- Making a nice tandem from the point and the post are Maxwell Owens (Apex (N.C.) High School/5-10/2016) and Nicolas Gonzalez (Spain/6-6/2016). –@pfebbraro

12:40PM- Sergio Hebrero of Spain just stepped up big time. The 5-10 guard nailed a huge three-quarter court shot to end the quarter, which helped his team take a three point lead into the break. –@AndrewKoob

1:20PM- As the morning games have come to a close, the campers are grabbing a quick lunch before attendance and an extremely helpful NCAA Recruiting Seminar to help them know what the correct procedure is regarding recruiting and all the necessary steps before playing basketball at the next level. You only get the best here at the Hoop Group Elite! –@JakerBaker58

2:10PM- After a very important and informational Seminar from Coach Chad Myers on NCAA eligibility, the campers are ready to take the floor for the afternoon set of games. This will be a very important set of games that will determine the standings going into Championship Day tomorrow! –@JakerBaker58

2:55PM- Jackson Heil(Chaminade, Mineola, NY) may not be the biggest guy here(5’2), but what he lacks in height, he makes up for in effort and execution. Jackson has had the chance to learn from great coaches here, and is demonstrating what he has learned every time he steps on the court. The rising High School Freshman has been taking a beating today, but with his relentless effort on both sides of the ball, he’s become a very valuable piece for his team going forward. Jackson knows that you don’t need to be tall to #BeElite! –@JakerBaker58

3:40PM- Aaron Briggs has shown some great on-ball defense this afternoon. Always getting a hand in the shooter’s face and altering shots, his presence on the defensive end of the court has certainly stood out. –@AndrewKoob

4:21PM- David Li(Hun School, Princeton, NJ) has had a very good day today, knocking down a few jumpers and also adding great post defense. David had a pretty great first quarter in his late game, registering two rebounds, a block, a steal, an assist, two shots made and was fouled once. Talk about doing it all! –@JakerBaker58

5:05PM- Along with Li, teammate Isaiah Lamb(Franklin, Reistertown, MD) helped the team go on to a blow-out win, one with a 30 point difference going into the fourth quarter. Lamb was seemingly unguardable, blowing past defenders with ease and getting simple buckets with the help of his big man knocking down jumpers. The duo should be a contender tomorrow on Championship Day. –@JakerBaker58

6:15PM- With the afternoon games finishing up, the campers are set to get a quick dinner then head back out for the evening games, and their last chance to prime themselves for a title run tomorrow morning. In off the court news, the Mr. Social race is as hot as I’ve ever seen! Right now, Jose Garcia-Quillez has a narrow lead on Emmanuel Petit-Frere for the Mr. Social Award, but with a little under 20 hours left, this is still anyone’s game. Tonight’s Top 5 Tweets will be very important to winning the very prestigious award! –@JakerBaker58

7:00PMDonovan Field (Newburgh Free Academy, 2014) just gave Alex Jordan (Rise Academy, 2014) a jab step that nearly had him laid out on the floor. Field then made Jordan pay further for his misplayed defense by finishing the play with a made three-pointer.- @CabWashington

7:30PM- Trayvon Coad has shown some sweet hops tonight, as he’s thrown down a couple big dunks that have gotten his bench on their feet. –@AndrewKoob

8:10PM- Deniz Celen(Ankara, Turkey) is having another solid day. The young big man has been improving all summer, after attending earlier Elite sessions as well as Elite 3. Celen has developed a nice jump shot to go along with his solid pick and roll game to become one of the better centers at camp. –@JakerBaker58

8:45PM- Cameron Paul(Cedar Cliff, Camp Hill, PA) is a straight up MONSTER down low. The rising Junior has great feet for a big man and a wide base that makes him an enforcer on defense and a mauler on offense. Built like an All-American Offensive Tackle, Paul is one of the more intriguing players at camp. You can tell this kid is an athlete just by watching him for two minutes. Man I hope he plays football as well! –@JakerBaker58

8:50PM- Montrel Morgan (New Hope [Pa.] Academy Charter) just hit a prayer three-pointer to tie the game up and force overtime! That’s the kind of play and performance that his teammates truly appreciated and a sign that he is elite. –@AndrewKoob

9:30PM- And we have another buzzer-beater! This time, it’s courtesy of Everson Davis (Peddie School, N.J.), who drills a half-court shot in the final seconds of the game to give his team the 58-55 victory. –@AndrewKoob

10:00PM- Wow! What a great day of Elite 3 Camp. Everson Davis gave us some nice fireworks at the very end with a buzzer-beater for the Win! Great to see all of our campers stepping up with solid play heading into Championship Day tomorrow! They’re putting their game faces on, and it’s going to be exciting. These guys now know what it takes to #BeElite! Join us tomorrow for the Championship Day of the final Elite Camp of the Summer! We will have Championship Games, All Star Games and a great Award Ceremony to round it all up! The LIVE Blog is now CLOSED! –@JakerBaker58
