9:00AM– The first day of Fall Jam Fest is upon us and we at the Hoop Group are excited to see the tough competition that all of these teams bring. Who can step up and stand out on the big stage? Follow here throughout the weekend to find out. And remember, #BeElite@JakerBaker58

9:45AM– The first set of games has finished up, with a couple of strong performances to start the weekend. Check back at the Hoop Group website for all the updates on the schedule to see when and where your team is playing this weekend! –@JakerBaker58

10:30AM– In the first set of games, the NJ Wizards of the 16U Division have taken their bracket and set the bar! They nearly doubled up on the JKMBA Jaguars due to their strong shooting and tremendous defense. They are definitely a team to look out for as the weekend progresses. –@JakerBaker58

11:15AM– The Monmouth Power and the Somerset Knights cruise to victories in the 17U bracket and advance to the Quartefinals. Monmouth will meet the Game 7 Sharks while Somerset will take on Team Boss for the right to play in Sunday’s Final Four! Tyus Battle (Gill St. Bernard’s, NJ, ’16) was solid for the Somerset Knights, showing why he is a Top Ten ESPN recruit and why he earned the nickname “Young Mamba”. –@JakerBaker58

12:00PM– We have had some thrilling finishes this morning here at the #FallJamFest! In our most recent game, “We Will Win” of Canada defeated the Showtime All Stars(NC) in the 15U bracket by a tight score of 58-56. They will move on to play in the Semifinals against Tim Legler’s SJ Jazz at 2:10 this afternoon. The Winner of that game will then advance to the 15U Final, which will be played on Sunday afternoon at 3:40. Plenty more basketball to come this weekend! –@JakerBaker58

12:45PM– In a tight matchup that went down to the final seconds, Quincy Douby Elite held on for a 43-41 victory over Wayne PAL of the 17U bracket. 1:30PM– In the first matchup of the Open Division, Coastal Academy defeated Redemption Christian by a score of 68-44. In the 16U bracket, Team Philly and Pure Basketball pick up some wins to put themselves in the Driver’s seat for the Championship! Still plenty of basketball left to be played today! –@JakerBaker58

2:15PM– A few teams made Jersey proud this afternoon, as the NJ Shoreshots and the Jersey Shore Warriors advance to the quarterfinals on the 17U bracket. Both teams won in blow-out fashion, but they will now square off against each other to see who will play in tomorrow’s Final Four! The two local squads will square off at 6:50 tonight! –@JakerBaker58

3:00PM– In the Open Division, the ICC Truth outlasts Wayne PAL 58-53, and the SJ Ballers win big over the NJ Shoreshots, 67-35. Still plenty of games left, especially in the Open Division, which is wide open! –@JakerBaker58

3:45PM– The 15U Final is set for the #FallJamFest! The Quincy Douby All Stars will take on the SJ Jazz tomorrow at 3:40. The All Stars worked their way into this position earlier this morning while the SJ Jazz just beat the Canadians “We Will Win” in a thriller that ended in a 56-52 victory! We Will Win will take on House of Hoops Pride in the 3rd Place game tomorrow at 9:40 here at The Hoop Group. –@JakerBaker58

4:30PM– The Somerset Knights keep their hot-streak alive as they defeat Team Boss and advance to the 17U Semifinals! There they will face the Game 7 Sharks! Also advancing to the Semifinals is Team Philly of the 16U bracket. They will play tomorrow at 10:50 in the morning! –@JakerBaker58

5:15PM– The RI Hawks came in this afternoon and have looked very strong since the tip-off. Led by a freshman, big man Jerome Desrosiers(QUE, ’17), the Hawks have been dominant in the paint which has led them to a seven point victory. Strong play from Desrosiers and AJ Brodeur(Northfield Mt. Hermon, MA, ’16), who led the team with 14 points, was enough to bring the Hawks to victory! –@JakerBaker58

6:00PM– The CT Elite put up a monster 99 points in their first round win over Team Allamuchy. The Elite were running up and down the floor all game and really showed their endurance and that is what separated them in this one. The games get much tougher in the next round though, as they will have to face the RI Hawks, who have the size it takes to win the Championship! This will be an exciting matchup coming up at 8:00PM! –@JakerBaker58

6:45PM– The SJ Ballers defeat the Keystone Blazers by a score of 84-61. With that win, the Ballers have clinched the Open Division Pool D, meaning that they will face the winner of Pool A in tomorrow’s Semifinal matchup! –@JakerBaker58

7:05PM– The SJ Ballers now know who they will be playing. Coastal Academy has won both of their Saturday games and will meet the Ballers in the Semifinals of tomorrow’s Championship Day. –@JakerBaker58

7:50PM– As the last few 16U games finish up, we already know that the York Ballers and Team Philly will play each other in the Semifinals, while the other side of the bracket will be the finishing of the 3rd pool in the Open Division. Legendary Hoops will take on the NJ Shoreshots, and NJ United will face PWC Crossover. The winners of those two games will THEN square off and play in the Semifinals of the 16U bracket. 8:35PM– An incredible game just finished up as the Jersey Shore Warriors defeated the NJ Shoreshots 77-76 in the 17U bracket. A great game that came down to the final minute, where the Warriors took the lead and held on for the victory. They await in the Semifinals for the Winner of the CT Elite and RI Hawks game that just started. –@JakerBaker58

9:20PM– As the last few games begin here at The Hoop Group Headquarters, we just saw another fantastic finish as ICC Truth defeated Prestige Prep 59-56. The Truth now heads to the Open Semifinals where they will face the Metro Falcons. The Open Division Semifinals are now set with the other matchup will be Coastal Academy vs. the SJ Ballers.
