10:15 PM- Devin Robinson (6-8/Christ Church School, Va./2014) scored 27 points and Josh Brown (6-4/Trinity School, Va./2015) added 15 as Squires Richmond (Va.) defeated DC Blue Devils 75-66 in a first-round game in the 17u bracket. —@pfebbraro

10:10 PM- Matyland’s Finest topped East Coast Fusion Lemcke (Va.) 54-39. In the loss Sam Miller (6-9/Gonzaga, D.C./2015) scored 17 points for ECF. —@pfebbraro

9:45 PM- BWSL Woods (Va.), led by Tyler Blount’s (5-9/Green Run, Va./2014) game-high 19 points, defeated NC Blazers 63-51 in 17u play.
Also advancing to the second round was Virginia Elite Gadson. V.E.G. topped Team Loaded 757 (Va.) 61-46 behind 14 points from Dorian Johnson (6-4/Herndon, Va./2014).

In other 17u action, host Boo Williams (Va.) routed United NJ AAU 85-29. Robert Johnson, Jr. (6-3/Beedictine/2014) scored 19 points while Thon Maker (7-0/Carlisle School/2016) added eight.
Team Loaded (Va.) also had an easy time in their first round game, cruising past the Metro All Stars (Md.) 84-38. —@pfebbraro

9:10PM-Greensboro Warriors (NC) take a 68-66 win over Team Richmond (VA), with Warriors’ guard Aaron Simpson doing the most damage with a 20-point performance.

The Carolina Raptors (NC) were able to hold off ATTAC Hoops (MD) in a 67-62 victory. Raptors forward Tyreke Coger had a team-high 18 points, highlighted by a last-second dunk to put the game away. —@AndrewKoob

8:33 PM- Continue to check out the brackets for all age groups as we continue to update results throughout the night and weekend.

8:21 PM- Baltimore Supreme 17U won their first game with a stretch of tough defense down the stretch against Synergy Sports (NC). Most notably, the squad took four charges in the final 1:30 to hold on for a four-point win. Standouts included wing forward Isaiah Harris-Winn (2014 / St. Maria Goretti) with a 23-point outburst and wing forward Eric Woods (2013 / Patterson) with a strong defensive effort. Combo guard Kwentyn Brooks (2015 / Patterson) took three charges down the stretch and assisted two key buckets late to seal the Supreme win. —@Edgar_Walker

8:10PM- Team Loaded VA is making a statement in their first game. Markell Lodge did this in the first half….


7:47PM-Not a bad start to the Southern Jam Fest, with a couple of games coming down to the wire. Team Loaded Ward (VA), led by a 24-point performance from 2014 guard Robert Valentine, took a 80-74 win over Wolverines (VA).

On the other side of the gym, VA Assault took home a 57-52 victory over the 6th Man Warriors (MD). 2014 forward Cliff Robinson scored a team-high 19 points in the win. —@AndrewKoob

6:38 PM-We’re underway with the first game set here at Southern Jam Fest. An intriguing storyline to watch this weekend will be how well Dion Wiley performs. Usually with Team Takeover, Wiley is playing with Maryland Ruff Riders as Takeover takes the weekend off. Wiley played with Ruff Riders before joining Takeover and periodically comes back to play tournaments with his old team. He’s a Top 50 talent nationally with a plethora of high-major offers, including Indiana, Maryland, Miami, and many more.

Ruff Riders came out of the gates hot against East Coast Fusion Richards, led by strong performances from power guard Patrick Moseh (2014 / Bishop Ireton) and point guard Malik Norfleet (2014 / Princeton Day Academy). —@Edgar_Walker
