All participants must hold at least a 3.2 GPA in order to qualify for Academic Elite camp and provide a letter of recommendation from a school guidance counselor. Players will be given high-level basketball instruction from Hoop Group’s qualified camp staff, face stiff competition from other campers, and put themselves on college coaches’ and scouting services’ radars.

Players will get a hands-on experience with ESPN college basketball analyst and former Division I head coach Fran Fraschilla, fresh off his time at NBA EuroCamp where he evaluated players in the 2012 NBA Draft. Players will also take part in interactive classroom sessions and film breakdowns.

College Pursuit, a valued partner of Hoop Group, will offer their expertise to players, educating them on the intricacies of the college admissions process as they work towards fulfilling their dream of playing college basketball.

“The competition level at Academic Elite is the best at any academic camp in the country. This camp is going to prepare these kids to play in college. The coaching staff is second to none,” said Kevin Driscoll, Director of Academic Elite camps. “The entire staff is made up of coaches from highly prestigious schools, and they do a great job.”

Academic Elite camp is expected to draw at least 75 coaches to Albright, and coaches from Cal Tech, Franklin & Marshall, Gettysburg, Haverford, Middlebury, Moravian, Swarthmore, Trinity College, and Washington College have already confirmed their attendance. A complete list of colleges in attendance will be posted on HoopGroup.com.
