Hoop Group Elite Basketball Camp Offers Players Instruction

As Hoop Group Elite Session 1 gets underway at Albright College in Reading, PA, another summer of outstanding instruction, competition, and exposure from the Hoop Group is here.

Players from across the country and across the globe have come to Hoop Group Elite Camp to put their skills on display in front of hundreds of college coaches during July’s live recruiting period.

To kick off Elite Camp, players took part in a Skills Session, taught by Hoop Group coaches, that focused on one of the three pillars of the camp experience: instruction.

This comprehensive and fundamentally-based basketball education helps to lay the foundation for success, as players move forward in their playing careers. Few other times are players afforded the opportunity to be under the tutelage of college- and NBA-level coaches, people who have competed at the highest levels, and gain one-on-one experience that they can carry with them into the future.

In contrast to the fast-paced game action that Hoop Group Elite offers, Instructional Skills Sessions slow the pace. Instructional Skills Sessions focus on the finer points, analyzing the aspects of the game that may not be seen otherwise. These specialized sessions will help smoothen the jumpshot, tighten ballhandling skills, and sharpen defensive timing. Our highly-qualified and highly-decorated staff works in small groups to give each player the individual attention that is needed to bring one’s game to the next level.

Among the drills players took part in were intensive shooting, dribbling, and passing drills, along with defensive positioning and staged one-on-one situations.

This unique instruction goes hand-in-hand with the other two focuses of the company vision, competition and exposure, to further distinguish Hoop Group as the premiere grassroots basketball company in the nation.
