Summer Rolls On With Session 2 Of Academic Elite Camp

READING, PA – Hoop Group Elite camps continue on Tuesday at Albright College, as the second session of Academic Elite camp begins. The four-day camp, which will run from July 17th to 20th, is a “live” recruiting event, meaning Division I coaches can attend and will be evaluating prospective student-athletes.

All participants must hold at least a 3.2 GPA in order to qualify for Academic Elite camp and provide a letter of recommendation from a school guidance counselor. Players will be given high-level basketball instruction from Hoop Group’s qualified camp staff, face stiff competition from other campers, and put themselves on the radars of college coaches and scouting services.

College Pursuit, a valued partner of Hoop Group, will offer their expertise to players, educating them on the intricacies of the college admissions process as they work towards fulfilling their dream of playing college basketball.

“The competition level at Academic Elite is the best at any academic camp in the country. This camp is going to prepare these kids to play in college. The coaching staff is second to none,” said Kevin Driscoll, Director of Academic Elite camps. “The entire staff is made up of coaches from highly prestigious schools, and they do a great job.”

Already this summer, college coaches representing over 500 different schools have come to Albright, and Session Two promises to bring out even more. Many of the coaches who attended the first session will return, and the added presence of Division I coaches will create an intense and rewarding atmosphere for all players. A complete list of colleges in attendance will be posted on HoopGroup.com.

Hoop Group’s digital media team will be providing coverage of all camp sessions, including Academic Elite. Keep up with the camp by visiting HoopGroup.com, following @TheHoopGroup on Twitter, liking The Hoop Group on Facebook, and searching for the #BeElite hashtag on Twitter.
