2017 READING TIP-OFF SHOWCASE PREVIEW

SCOUTING REPORT

Ed Croswell | St Joe’s Prep

A solid-bodied forward, Croswell has no qualms about what he brings to the court. Has the ability to pick-and-pop out to 15 feet but is best in post-up situations, where he has great hands/feet and knows how to get his defender up in the air. Slightly undersized for a Division I post at 6-7 and doesn’t have great athleticism, though he’s fairly mobile; could work out well in a two-forward system that values post scoring.

Bryce Calloway | Berks Catholic

Bryce is a versatile player with a good combination of size, strength, and explosiveness, which allows him to be effective from the perimeter, as well as inside the paint. He absorbs contact and finishes well around the rim. Defensively, he is capable of guarding multiple positions, contests shots from the weakside, and can lead the break after he controls rebounds.

Joe Gutowski | Jr Elite Player of the Day

Zach Crisler | LaSalle High School

There’s a lot of upside to this young forward, whose game could go in several directions. He certainly looks like he’ll grow a few more inches, and if he continues to refine his skillset both in the paint and outside of it, there’s a good chance he’s a high-major ‘4’ man in two years’ time. If he puts in the necessary work in both the gym and the weight room, Crisler could be one of the top prospects in the 2019 class in this region.
