Top Performers From Day Two Of Academic Elite II

Day two of Academic Elite Session II is in the books, and Albright College was filled with talented campers. We breakdown the top performers from Wednesday. If you missed any of our other coverage, make sure to check out our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter profiles.

Adam Mitola (2016 / Gil St Bernards / Gladstone, NJ): Mitola is a coaches dream. Not only is he a tough defender, but the 6-foot-2 guard is smart with the basketball and is a light-outs shooter.

Stefan Goles (2016 / Chatham / Chatham, NJ): The Chatham forward proved his versatility on Wednesday. At 6-foot-6, Goles crashed the boards and moved great without the ball. He’s a plus passer for a big man, as well.

Sukhmail Mathon (2016 / Dallas / Dallas, PA): The big man uses his lengthy frame to block shots, but he also has the athleticism to run and finish in transition.

Austin Pauga (2015 / IMG Academy / Bradenton, FL): Although he’s 6-foot-5, Pauga can flat out shoot the ball. Combine this with his ability to guard multiple positions and you have a very well rounded player.

Phillip Newsome (2015 / Potomac / McLean, VA): Newsome drew attention after beating a defender in transition with a nasty euro-step move. Watching the 6-foot-4 guard for a while, it was easy to tell that this was only one move in his large arsenal.

Morrison Rubin (2016 / Woodson / Fairfax, VA): The 5-foot-8 point guard was arguably the most unselfish player on the court yesterday. Once Rubin penetrated the lane, he immediately found an open teammate.
