Top Ranked St. Anthony’s to face CBA in Premier Showdown


St. Anthony’s will put their undefeated record on the line this Saturday against Christian Brothers Academy in a heavyweight battle. The Friars come into the matchup ranked 1st in the state according to and 2nd according to MaxPreps. Legendary coach Bob Hurley will look to take his senior loaded squad to Long Branch, and leave with another victory. St. Anthony’s has 5 college bound players including Asante Gist, (Eastern Kentucky) Kaleb Bishop, (FDU) Shyquan Gibbs, (NJIT) and Daniel Mading (Arizona State). However, let’s not forget about Georgetown Commit Jagan Mosely. Mosely comes in as possibly the most talented player in this event and for a good reason. He is a two year starter for the Friars and has made a name for himself thanks to his incredible combination of athleticism and talent.

Mosely has high aims for this season, as he told that his only goal is to win the TOC. While Roselle Catholic has capture 2 of the last 3 TOC Titles, St. Anthony’s looks poised to regain dominance this year. Moreover, Mosely said that the key to success is ensuring that the team, and the individuals make strides to get better every single day.

Mosely and his star studded team are excited to travel to Long Branch. He cited that it is always a great experience for the Friars to face some of the best competition in the state at Hoop Group events.
