Games are underway here on the second day of Hoop Group Jam Fest.

For updated brackets, check right here.

One of the biggest match ups comes at 10:50am, when highly-rated 2014 forward Noah Vonleh takes on highly-rated 2013 forward Tyler Roberson. Both are high-major players who could go head-to-head more than once today.

Roberson is a lanky forward that runs the floor with ease and can finish above the rim. In contrast, Vonleh is a player who can physically dominate a game. Yesterday, he took control of a close game against the NJ Pirates and turned a tied ballgame into a 10-point victory for the Rivals in a matter of minutes.

On Court 3 of Hoop Group Headquarters, the loudest game of the morning is a showdown between DC Assault Gold and Team Philly.

Both storied programs have been a part in Hoop Group events many times in the past, including this summer.

DC Assault is the former AAU team of Portland Trailblazers guard Nolan Smith, who, himself, is a Hoop Group alum. This year’s 16u team features Bryon Hawkins, who is looking to be a high-major prospect, as well as big-time athlete Darius Speaks.

Team Philly 17u’s tore up the summer circuit, including winning Summer Classic East and playing well at West Virginia Jam Fest. From that team, guard Maurice Watson has committed to Boston University, forward Brandon Taylor to Penn State, and forward Chazz Patterson to Mount St. Mary’s.
