Team Final crusied into the 15U championship game today, winning their Elite Eight and Final Four games 76-41 and 68-51 respectively. In both games, Team Final founde themselves in close contests, but used their defense to spark a huge run to give them a lead for good. In the final it was the opposite. Their opponent, DC Thunder, jumped out to a lead and held it much of the game. A late run by Team Final gave them a lead that they were able to hold and earn themselves a trophy. Team Final are your Summer Classic East Champs, and deservedly so.

The 17U bracket was a tough one and Middlesex Magic’s road to a championship was not easy. After two wins yesterday, they opened today with a commanding victory over a very good Expressions Elite team. Middlesex jumped out to an early lead and never gave it up. They then battled a PA Renegades team that had a great tournament of their own and won that game 63-51. When they met East Coast Fusion in the final, they met their biggest test yet. Although they won 75-55, the score does not reflect how close it was. They traded baskets back and forth for most of the game before Jackson Donahue and the rest of the Magic took over. Donahue finished with 36 points and made 9 three pointers. Several players had big games throughout the tournament including AJ Brodeur and Collin McManus. Congratulations Middlesex Magic!

Well there it is…youre Summer Classic East Champions. Three teams that went above and beyond and showed an excellent display of basketball and coaching. Congratulations to all three teams and coaches!
