Will Kelly’s Balanced Approach Leads Hun School Over Paramus Catholic

Hun School’s Will Kelly smiled as he got his picture taken with the MVP trophy, following his team’s 58-41 over Paramus Catholic.

But he didn’t win that trophy for putting up 30 points. Instead, Kelly’s well-rounded game, with 10 points and six blocks, earned him the honor.

“My coach challenged me yesterday. He asked me when I was going to dominate without the ball,” said Kelly. “I came out here to show him what I can do.”

Kelly led a balanced offensive attack for Hun School, which bounced back after a rocky start to the season.

“Last game, we know we should have won,” said Kelly, the senior. “We haven’t been playing too well, so to come out on a Sunday morning and play like that is great.”

Hun’s victory kicks off the second day of the Hoop Group Tip Off Showcase, which features a full slate of high-level games.
