Team 6 59, Team 2 49
Team 6 came away the victors in the Ivy League Championship game, ousting Team 2 in a 59-49 victory.

2014 guard Matthew Fall led his team with 15 points en route to the victory, while 2013 forward Marko Kozul powered his way to a team-high 14 points. Team 6 continually frustrated the opposition and, in the eyes of 2014 guard Jared Kelly, brought more energy on the floor.

“All week, if we were playing bad, we knew we had to just pick it up on defense and play harder,” Kelly said following a 14-point performance in the final game. “The energy that we brought to the championship was amazing, that was a big reason why we won.”

Kelly credited the chemistry of his team, which grew throughout the camp on and off the basketball court.

“We have a lot of chemistry because we spent a lot of time off the court with each other,” Kelly said. “We ate lunch together, we were shooting with each other throughout camp. We spent a majority of the camp with each other. That time off the court really helped us play better.”

Behind 14 points from Sam Norton (Hill School (Pa.)/6-1/2015) Team 15 topped Team 12 54-46 to capture the Patriot League Championship at Hoop Group Academic Elite I.

Norton, who played a key role all week in leading his team to the finals, scored the eventual game-winning basket on a layup with just under a minute to play which put Team 15 up 48-44.

“It’s great that we won the championship,” said Norton. “All week long we played hard and it was our defense which really helped us win. Now I need to keep working hard all summer, working out, so that I can play at the collegiate level.” –@pfebbraro
