8:00AM- Final day for Elite Camp session 2, which means it’s time for some playoffs! Campers have been grinding for the past three days and now they’ll have a little something extra to play for. –@AndrewKoob

8:32AM- The four point play is complete! Jaron Smith(Marist, Bayonne, NJ) nailed a fade away three point shot, was knocked down by the defender, and finished it off with making the free throw! Not only is he making great plays scoring the ball, but Jaron has also asissted his teammate, Da’Jon Streeter(Rise Academy, Philadelphia, PA), twice on the last three plays. Streeter has been using his big frame, combined with his elite athleticism to get to the trim with ease! This duo really knows what its like to #BeElite! –@Jakerbaker58

8:55AM- Blanketed by the defense, Ceasar DeJesus used his strength to put some separation between his defender, knocking the opposition over. With a now wide-open look, DeJesus knocked down the three-pointer in a great showing of strength. –@AndrewKoob

9:16AM- Da’Jon Streeter (Rise Academy, Philadelphia Pa. 2014) and Team 35 edged Ceasar Dejesus (Hackensack, N.J. 2015) and Team 19 in their opening round playoff matchup. Streeter reinforced that he is not just a pullup jump-shooter as he showed his full repertoire using a quick first-step to blow by defenders and finish at the rim on a number of occasions. Dejesus did what he’s been doing all week (making posters out of defenders through his leaping ability) while also showing off a little bit of a perimeter as well. But in the end, Streeter’s squad had just enough to scratch out the three-point win 67-64. #BeElite –@CabWashington

9:39AM- It didn’t take long for Ed Polite to redeem himself. Following an airballed shot from the elbow, the 2015 guard picked the opposing point guard’s pocket and took care of the rest, finishing with a highlight reel dunk. –@AndrewKoob

10:27AM- The finals in the NBA West are set for 2:15 p.m. Team 51 will face Team 52 after both won their semifinal games.
Team 52 topped Team 43 79-58. Marlon Adams (Middletown (N.Y.)/ 6-3/ 2015) scored a game-high 14 points while Naeem Swinton (Asheville (N.C.)/ 5-11/ 2014) played solid defense in the win.
Team 51 advanced with a 62-53 win over Team 44. Andrew Hill (TC Williams (Va.)/ 6-3/ 2016) continued his solid play with a 16-point effort. –@pfebbraro

10:50AM- A very tight game just finished up, as Team 25 edged out a 5 point victory! Horace Spencer(William Tennent HS, Warminster, PA) had a very solid defensive game with a few highlight dunks on offense, but the real story was Jack Fay(Manasquan HS, NJ). The PG from Spring Lake, New Jersey had the ball with a one point lead and under 20 seconds to play, was fouled, and converted both clutch free throws. On the defensive possession, Jack played tremendous defense, forced his opponent to take an ugly shot, and got the defensive rebound. Jack was again fouled, needing to only make one of his free throws. He made both, clinching the 5 point victory. Jack Fay was the personification of #BeElite! –@Jakerbaker58

11:25AM- Another game just finished up here as Isaiah Whitehead(Lincoln HS, Brooklyn, NY) and Justin Simon(Temecula Valley HS, Temecula Valley, CA) led Team 1 to a 30 point victory! This team really knows how to #BeElite! –@Jakerbaker58

12:05PM- John “Trey” Pride (Glen Allen (Va.) HS/ 6-1/ 2015) is having a solid week here at Elite II. In a game yesterday Pride dropped in 22 points and his excellent work ethic this week has garnered attention in camp.
Pride has been drawing interest from Delaware, Elon, Liberty, American, Longwood and Concordia and will be featuring his talents at next week’s Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest at Competitive Edge Sports in King of Prussia, Pa. –@pfebbraro

12:40PM- Jeantal Cylla(Lake Worth Christian, Boynton Beach, FL) is a BEAST in transition. In three straight trips down the floor, the soon to be Junior has a fast break AND-1, an Alley-Oop dunk, and a dunk attempt that was only stopped by a foul! I guess that’s the only way to stop him. –@Jakerbaker58

1:20PM- The Playoffs are winding down and we are closing in on our Championship Games! Shane Temara(West Genesee, Camillus, NY) is doing all the dirty work for his team down low, trying to get into the Championship. But Jordan Watson(Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, PA) is leading his team in a strong defensive effort to make sure that his team moves on instead. Looking forward to a strong finish here! –@Jakerbaker58

2:00PM- We’re a few minutes away from the start of championship games and the courts are being surrounded by coaches and spectators alike. There will be plenty of action over the next hour, as teams battle it out to be named Elite 2 champions. –@AndrewKoob

5:05PM- With the Award Ceremony over, it is now time for one last game here at Elite 2 Camp, as we will see the top players at camp square off in the Top 20 Game! –@Jakerbaker58

5:19PM- Andrew Robinson has looked good early, making two three-pointers. Desi Rodriguez has also looked sharp in this one, getting to the rim with ease. But everyone is second right now to camp MVP, Isaiah Whitehead, who is straight up ON FIRE right now! –@Jakerbaker58

5:25PM- At the end of the first quarter, Team Black leads Team White, 25-24. Two Lincoln players, Isaiah Whitehead(Team Black) and Desi Rodriguez(Team White) lead the way. –@Jakerbaker58

5:35PM- Bryan Rivers has helped Team White take the lead! Marial Shayok is anchoring down Team Black here in quarter number 2. Also on the floor for Team White is Horace Spencer, who had an excellent week here and just had a nice dunk off a beautiful feed by Rivers. –@Jakerbaker58

5:40PM– We’ve hit Halftime here in Reading, and Team Black leads 48-45. Byron Hawkins is starting to get into the flow of the game, with a few three pointers to add to the few that Whitehead has made as well. Team Black is having trouble covering Spencer, who keeps beating them up down low. –@Jakerbaker58

5:50PM- Diego Quinn has added a few buckets now, as Team White has decided to feed it down low between Quinn and Spencer when they aren’t letting Rodriguez do his thing. For Team Black, they keep knocking down outside shots, with Whitehead, Robinson and Hawkins all hitting a few of them. @Jakerbaker58

5:55PM- Whitehead is now putting on a clinic, showing why he’s one of the Top Prospects of this class. But the real star of the show may be Andrew Robinson of Silver Spring, Maryland, who has now hit 5, yes, 5 3-pointers. For the White Team, Desi Rodriguez and Troy Harper have now taken over for the big men, slashing to the hole with ease. The score after 3: White, 73, Black, 77. –@Jakerbaker58

6:00PM- Rivers has scored a couple more baskets to start the 4th, and has helped close the lead. Horace Spencer has returned with some fireworks of his own, with a vicious block on Andrew Robinson and hitting a three at the other end. –@Jakerbaker58

6:06PM- More from Byron Hawkins, who has helped tie this one up at 97 a piece. He and Rivers have dominated the scoring this quarter, and it may come down to them for the last shot for both teams. –@Jakerbaker58

6:08PM- AT the buzzer!!!! It’s good!!!! Oscar Cabrera nails a three with no time remaining and helps Team Black beat Team White 100-97! The final play was set up by a turnover on Horace Spencer, who had three wide open players down the court, but decided to pass way to late and it sailed out of bounds. Cabrera was open after the team sagged off to double up on Hawkins, who delivered a beauty of a pass that won the game. Team White was led by Bryon Rivers, Horace Spencer and Diego Quinn, while Team Black relied heavily upon Whitehead and Robinson. Isaiah Whitehead(Lincoln HS, Brooklyn, NY) was named All Star Game MVP, leading the way with 28 points… That’s all folks, he had a great session at Elite 2 camp. Hope you all enjoyed the LIVE Blog. Come back tomorrow for Elite Team Camp Day 1. The Blog is now CLOSED! –@Jakerbaker58
