9:15AM- Elite Team Camp is about to be underway, as the American division will set the tone for the first two games. On the last day of the first July evaluation period, the players will need to pick up their game to grab the attention of some college coaches. –@AndrewKoob

9:25AM- Coaches from Fairfield University and Princeton University watch closely as Jackson Memorial(NJ) takes on Nansemond River(VA). On the court beside them, we have Largo(MD) facing off against the local boys, Reading Central(PA). This should be a great day of basketball! –@JakerBaker58

9:40AM- Khalil Carroll of Nansemond is having a very strong morning. The point guard is having little trouble getting deep into the paint of Jackson Memorial, easily setting up his teammates! Meanwhile, the boys of Reading Central have ran there way right into an early 19-4 deficit, thanks in part to more strong point guard play by Juwan Green, who has set the tempo for the game! –@JakerBaker58

10:00AM-Gino Palummo is giving everything he’s got on the defensive end, forcing turnover after turnover helping Jackson Memorial comeback in the game. Meanwhile, Largo’s Aaron Thomas just had a great feed into the post, helping his team to a 26 point lead! –@JakerBaker58

10:15AM- Jackson Memorial’s Jesse Hill is a well rounded player. He runs the floor well, plays strong in the post, has great leaping ability and can stretch the floor. For Nansemond River, Devon Oakley has been in the middle of every play. He’s definitely the team’s utility man! –@JakerBaker58

10:32AM- With the first two games complete, Largo wins big over Reading Central and Nansemond River beats Jackson Memorial in a well balanced, team-oriented game. For Largo, the whole team looked great, but Aaron Thomas definitely anchored the squad on both ends of the court. For Nansemond River, Devon Oakley played a great game and definitely set the tone for Nansemond River. –@JakerBaker58

10:55AM- In our next set of games, we have Bishop O’Connell facing Trinity Pawling(NY) and Red Bank Regional(NJ) squaring off with Mt. Carmel(MD). Franklin Webb, who has a standout at Elite 2 Camp this past week, will lead Mt. Carmel and Braedon Bayer has already taken the first lead for Trinity. –@JakerBaker58

11:10AM- Two very different games happening here in the Bollman Center. On one end of the floor, we have a tied game at halftime, 23-23 between Bishop O’Connell and Trinity Pawling. However, our other game seems to be getting a little out of hand as Mt. Carmel leads Red Bank Regional, 23-8. Lots of time left in both games! –@JakerBaker58

11:30AM- We have a very tight game happening here in Reading, as Trinity Pawling currently leads Bishop O’Conell by two points. This game has been so tight, that the lead might change before I finish this post! Melvin Girard has looked sharp in this one, and will need to stay that way to hold off Brandon Better and Bishop O’Connell. –@JakerBaker58

11:50AM- We are headed to Overtime as Bishop O’Connell and Trinity Pawling are all tied up. Bayer missed a 3 at the buzzer to win. Another game has just begun as well, as The Hun School(NJ) will take on Chester High School(PA).-@JakerBaker58

12:00PM- Down 2 points with 3.5 seconds to play, Noah Woods dribbles up, heaves a shot from halfcourt and gets nothing but the bottom of the net. His buzzer beater put Trinity Pawling on top for good as they beat Bishop O’Connell, 55-54! That’s how to #BeElite! –@JakerBaker58

12:15PM- CBA(Christian Brothers Academy) has used hustle and their deep bench to tie the game up. And with only one man on the bench for The Hill School, CBA will try to run their opponent out of the gym. –@JakerBaker58

12:35PM- We have reached halftime and CBA has taken a 13 point lead over The Hill School, thanks in part to this week’s NCAA MVP at Elite 2 Camp, Patrick Andree. Today, Patrick has shown a nice balance of inside and outside shooting, which he showed plenty of this past week. In our other match up, The Hun School lead Chester, 31-26 at the half, and Eric Williams has led the charge for them. –@JakerBaker58

12:55PM- CBA is really starting to pull away in this one, as their deep rotation has proved to be too much for the Hill School’s 6 man team! However, The Hun School and Chester are locked in a 40-40 tie. This should be a great finish! –@JakerBaker58

1:11PM- Another close one comes to a close, as The Hun School (N.J.) just edges out Chester (Pa.) High School with a 50-49 win. Remi Janicot was impressive in the victory, hitting from all over the court in the team’s first round win. –@AndrewKoob

1:45PM- St. Paul’s is looking very strong against Susquehanna Township, as they hold a 20 point lead early in the second half. St. Paul’s is led by Bigman Ibrahima Camara. –@JakerBaker58

2:15PM- The second round has now begun, with Largo(MD) taking on Nansemond River(PA) and Holy Cross(PA) facing off against Capital Prep(NJ). –@JakerBaker58

2:45PM- We have a couple of very tight games on our hands as Connor Jones has helped Holy Cross tie up Capital Prep, and Devon Oakley is at it again, helping Nansemond River to a ten point lead over Largo. –@JakerBaker58

3:00PMArchbishop Carroll (Pa.) was able to squeak past Pt. Pleasant Beach (N.J.) in overtime by a final score of 41-39. Nationally touted rising junior Derrick Jones had an impressive 17 points for Carroll. Rising senior Joe Mostardi added eight points including two key free throws for Carroll down the stretch. Rising senior Matt Farrell poured in 15 points to lead Pt. Pleasant Beach. –@CabWashington

3:15PM- Holy Cross’s Connor Jones continues to be trouble for Capital Prep both in the post and from beyond the arch. The two teams are currently tied at 55. On the court beside them, Largo and Nansemond River are in a back and forth brawl, right now standing at a 42-42 tie. Both teams have had very balanced scoring attacks, and for the most part have played excellent on-ball defense, creating a few turnovers and even more gasps for air. I’m getting winded just watching the full-court pressure! –@JakerBaker58

3:30PM- And we are headed to Overtime. Nansemond River and Largo are deadlocked at 49 after Devon Oakley just missed the halfcourt shot at the buzzer. In our other second round matchup, Capital Prep outlasted Holy Cross in a close game! CBA has now tipped off against Archbishop Wood! –@JakerBaker58

4:15PM- Largo held on in Overtime thanks to some very clutch free throws by Demetrius Morrison, who grabbed a crucial offensive rebound with the team down 1 and 2 seconds left. It was a great game by both teams, but point guard Philip Thomas definitely led the way for Largo. In our current matchup, CBA has increased their lead to 9 with under 2 minutes to play. –@JakerBaker58

4:45PM- Blair Academy(NJ) leads Harrisburg(PA) early in this second round game as Elite 2 Camp Champions Marial Shayok and Donovan Wright team up again for their High School squad. Some other games have just ended as well, as Trinity-Prawling(NY) and CBA(NJ) both advance to the National Division Quarterfinals and will play later on tonight. –@JakerBaker58

4:55PM– Bishop O’Connell downed Chester 46-39 in the National Division bracket. Coming off some nice performance this past week during Elite II, Brandon Better dropped in points to lead O’Connell. Elite II Top 20 All-Star William Tchiengang chipped in with eight points for O’Connell as well. William Tchiengang stated after the game that he has received offers from Quinnipiac, Dartmouth, Wake Forest and Cincinnati. –@CabWashington

5:30PM- Marial Shayok continues to make a name for himself in Reading. After a great week at Elite 2 Camp and finishing as one of the Top 20 All Stars, he is now leading Blair Academy to a 15 point lead in the second round of the National Division. Shayok has received offers from Boston College, West Virginia, Providence and Cincinnati among others. And on the court beside Blair Aacdemy, St. Anthony’s(NJ) has absolutely clobbered Poly(MD). If Blair holds on, it looks like we will be seeing a Jersey showdown in the Quarterfinals tonight! –@JakerBaker58

6:05PM- The last of the Second Round games in the National Division are underway here on the Bollman Center of Albright College. Patrick School(NJ) faces Archbishop Carroll(PA) while St. John’s(DC) takes on Team B. Archbishop Carroll and St. John’s have early leads, but there is plenty of time left in these games. Earlier we saw St. Anthony’s move on easily, as they will play Blair Academy in tonight’s Quarterfinals! Should be a great game! –@JakerBaker58

6:35PM- As our Second round winds down, we have two very different games on our hands. On our one hand, the St. John’s-TeamB game is a tight one, with only three points separating the two teams. But on our other hand, Archbishop Carroll is blowing out the Patrick School and looks to be on their way to the Quarterfinals. We’ll keep you posted! –@JakerBaker58

7:10PM-After notching a win earlier today against Pt. Pleasant Beach (N.J.), Archbishop Carroll (Pa.) followed that effort by putting a hurting on St. Patrick’s School (N.J.). Carroll  laid out the New Jersey team by a final score of 64-48. Derrick Jones was the star once again in this one as he finished with a game-high 19 points. Jones received a lot of help from his supporting cast which included 12 point outings from both Joe Mostardi and Ernest Aflakpui. No Patrick’s School players scored in double figures, but Daniel Knight did manage a team-high nine points. Zahir Newell also added eight points for St. Pat’s in the conest.                                   –@CabWashington

7:30PM- In the Quarterfinal Round of the American Division, Flint Hill(VA) came in and just laid a beat down right from the get-go. Southern Regional(NJ) had won their previous two games, but did not see competition like they have tonight. Flint Hill has used the fast break to their advantage, and might be the best passing team we have seen all day. With the full court press adding to their strengths of quickness and basketball I.Q., Flint Hill jumped out to a 28-2 lead off of many forced turnovers and great shot selection. Britton Anderson has led the charge for Flint Hill, as he has scored 8 points and has 3 blocks to go along with the offense. As we head to the half, Flint Hill leads Southern Regional 45-15. –@JakerBaker58

8:00PM- Flint Hill advances in a blowout win over Southern Regional, joining South Shore(NY) and Capital Prep(NJ) in the American Division Final Four! The final team will be the winner of The Potomac School(VA) and Constitution(PA), who are in a tight game with seven minutes to play. But one of the biggest games of the day will be tipping off momentarily, as Marial Shayok and Blair Academy take on the legendary St. Anthony’s. A Jersey battle for the Ages! –@JakerBaker58

8:30PM- The Final Four is set in the American Division, as The Potomac School(VA) defeated Constitution(PA) and joined Flint Hill(VA), South Shore(NY) and Capital Prep(NJ). The American Division Final Four will begin tomorrow at 10:50 AM! Meanwhile, we still have some National Division games to play. While its still early, Blair Academy is leading St. Anthony’s by double digits, thanks to a great first half by the Big Canadian, Marial Shayok. The 6’8 Big Man is doing a great job of finding his teammates and leading the fast break. In other National Division news, CBA(NJ) has jumped out to an early lead over Trinity-Pawling. Should be a great night of games! –@JakerBaker58

9:00PM- We knew it would be the game of the night, but we thought it would be the game of the night for us, not just for Blair. Blair Academy has opened up a 23 point lead and looks to be moving onto the Semifinals of the National Region. They just flat out outplayed St. Anthony’s, with great games by Donovan Wright, Marial Shayok and Michael Silverthorn. Meanwhile, CBA has taken the lead on Trinity-Pawling, after trailing most of the game. With ten minutes left, that seems to be anyone’s for the taking. –@JakerBaker58

9:45PM- CBA was able to close out Trinity-Pawling and will join Blair Academy in the National Division Semifinals. In our last two contests of the evening, we have St. John’s taking a 13 point lead to halftime over Archbishop Carroll and St. Paul’s squaring off against Mt. Zion, which just tipped off. –@JakerBaker58

10:40PM- In our final two games of a great day of basketball, we saw St. John’s(DC) defeat Archbishop Carroll(PA) by a score of 67-56, and St. Peter’s Prep outlasted Mt. Zion, 52-51 in what turned out to be the most thrilling game of the night. For St. John’s, Darian Bryant was fantastic, posing as an inside-outside threat that Archbishop Carroll was never really able to defend. St. John’s got out to an early lead, played great defense and was able to control the tempo on the way to a victory. For St. Peter’s, Austin White was a Big Time Player. Down two points late in the game, White hit a step back three point shot to take the lead, and iced the game with a big time steal and excellent on ball defense when his team needed it most. The two winners will join Christian Brothers Academy(NJ) and Blair Academy(NJ) in tomorrow’s Semifinal Round of the National Division. The American Division Semifinal will include Capital Prep(NJ), South Shore(NY), The Potomac School(VA) and Flint Hill(VA).
