Keith Rado: Elite 1 Spotlight Preview

Name: Keith Rado
Class: 2017
School: Canterbury School (Connecticut)
Height: 6’1”

Keith Rado is an emerging talent out of the New England region. After a strong sophomore season, he has been named aTop 50 player in the New England 2017 class. His average of 10 points, 3 assists and 3 rebounds is a testament to the all-around production that coaches are picking up on.

Since the open contact period, Keith has heard from Marist, Boston University and Richmond along with other MAAC, A-10 and Patriot league teams. He has a few more years to improve before the college level, but he has already shown his ability to shoot from deep and make plays off the dribble.

Another big appeal is Keith’s focus in the classroom. When asked about his flawless academic record he said, “Academics are important to me. My mom is a teacher so she instilled a mindset of ‘school before sports’.” As he continues to excel in the classroom, Keith will work to improve his athleticism and speed.

He is very aware of the challenge college basketball brings, “I still need to get stronger and faster to be a good college player. If I can do that my game will be consistent. Consistency is the most important aspect of being great.”

This summer Keith will spend some time at Hoop Group Elite Session 1 in order to play in front of the majority of coaches recruiting him. Expect his recruitment to flourish as the summer continues.
