4:00 pm

The #PittJamFest has come to a close. 8 Teams leave today victorious after achieving their goals. There was plenty to talk about this weekend, and you can bet that we will cover everything this week. We’d like to thank everyone who made this event possible: all of our facility directors, our staff, refs, college coaches, and most importantly, you, the participating teams and fans. We look forward to seeing many of you in two weeks for the Providence Jam Fest. Good night everyone!

3:37 pm

Last champions crowned. Congrats to the NJ Playaz (14) Rockland Rockets (17 Gold) and West Virginia Wildcats (17 Steel) on championships!

3:11 pm
Three championships handed out at Mount Lebanon:
17u Platinum: West Virginia Wildcats

Open: NorthEast Basketball

15u: Buckeye Prep

2:25 pm
West Virginia Wildcats jump out to an early lead over Team Loaded 757. West Virginia commit Chase Harler is a guy we haven’t talked about much, but has done a fantastic job leading the cats to the final game

2:00 pm
16u final was everything we expected it to be. Tight game through out, great players on both sides. Jersey Shore comes out with the championship, their second in as many Jam Fests this Spring. Taylor Funk is named MVP with 13 points in the final.

12:57 pm

Expect a shoot out for a 17U final. Team Loaded and West Virginia Wildcats both have a bunch of guys who know how to score the basketball. Game is coming up in about an hour.

12:05 pm Excited to watch the NorthEast Basketball Club as they compete in the Open championship. Club was very impressive in the Spring Jam Fest, losing on a buzzer beater to the eventual champion Canaries Basketball. Could very easily win it all today.-@TheHoopGroup 11:08 am Jersey Shore Warriors look like they will be heading to their second Jam Fest championship game this spring in as many tournaments. They’ll take on Team Melo in the 16u Championship. Should be a lot of coaches watching that as both teams have a ton of prospects. 10:21 am Team Loaded uses a big second half run to take down Team Takeover Orange. Great guard play helped lift Loaded to the Final Four. Adam Grant, Donald Hicks and Travis Fields all looked great in the Elite Eight Game. 9:33 am 16u  Platinum Final Fours is set:

9:20 am Team Rio’s run in the 16u bracket comes to an end. The 14u hung tough against Team Melo, but the size of Melo was ultimately too much. Chris Orlina (Capitol Christian Academy ’17) finished with a game high 16 and Andre Rafus (St. Benedict’s ’17) chipped in with 14. –@TheHoopGroup 7:57 am Championship Sunday! Best day of the weekend, which teams will find themselves taking home some hardware?

Saturday, April 25th, DAY 2 10:39 pm And after the overtime period between NJ Shoreshots (Rice) and FBCG Disciples comes to an end, so does day 2 of the Pitt Jam Fest. 2 days in the books means trophies will be handed out tomorrow. For full coverage check us out on Twitter! 10:21 pm Minnesota Fury had a good run, but fall short against the West Virginia Wildcats. Cats will play Wayne PAL in the Elite Eight tomorrow. IMG_8397 10:08 pm Seven teams now in the 17u Elite Eight as Wayne PAL advances over the Jersey Shore Warriors. 17u team made a good run in Spooky Nook, and now have made a deeper one here at Pitt! Can they keep it rolling? 9:58 pm 15u Elite Eight is set. Potential Match up between Michigan Gators and Erick Gren Athletics could be awesome. Gators a top seed in the bracket, but EGA is having a great run through the tourny. –@TheHoopGroup 9:00 pm We’ve seen Cam Reddish at Hoop Group Top 100s, Elite Camp and Jam Fests…he’s going to be a special player. Lot of talent and upside at such a young age.

7:57 pm Camari Wilkerson is only listed as 5’9, but he takes it to the hoops strong. Doesn’t shy away from bigger players inside, as you can see here. IMG_8365 6:23 pm Pretty good day for the Mid Jersey Mavericks in the 14u Division. 2 & 0 on the day after they just upset Canada Elite. Isaiah Wong having a stellar day. He had 32 points in a win over the Northern Kings and followed that with a 19 point performance over Canada Elite. –@JN_Albano 5:14 pm Kevin Jefferson is the latest person to join the 30 point scoring club this weekend. Rockland Rockets with a big win.

4:38 pm Andrew Wilbekin had 22 points for Nike Team Florida in a loss earlier today….despite the loss, Andrew’s got at least one fan rooting for him back home

4:01 pm New Heights 17u advances as they beat NJ Shoreshots (Rice). Kylan Guerra (pictured) was clutch for New Heights. He made every free throw down the stretch to prevent the Shoreshots from any chance at a comeback. He’s got ice in his veins. IMG_8342 3:18 pm The NJ Playaz and NJ Roadrunners brought their rivalry to Pittsburgh this weekend. The two teams played in an exciting afternoon match up with the winner moving on to a 17u final. After a back and forth, high energy game, the Playaz took a lead with 3 minutes left that they would not relinquish. They bested the Roadrunners in this one, but you can bet these two Jersey teams will meet again! –@TheHoopGroup 2:25 pm Check out who played well yesterday. View our Top Performers from Friday! 1:42 pm Team Rio (14u playing in 16u) still going strong. Scottie Lewis led the way with 17 points and Cole Anthony came up with the game winner.
