Constitution High School will head to Albright College this Friday night to take on Berks Catholic at the Reading High School Tip Off Showcase. A chance for high school teams and coaches to perform on a premier stage, Constitution vs Berks will be the first of two elite games. We got a chance to catch up with seniors Nasir Randolph and Anthony Satchell, and juniors Tamir Green and Maurice Waters to hear about their expectations heading into the 2015-16 season.

As speed starts to pick up on the high school season, all four players seemed to have the same expectations for their team. “To win the Public League and a PIAA 1A State Championship,” senior Nasir Randolph stated. To do so, the upperclassmen know it requires a lot of work.

“I worked the entire off-season to strengthen my weaknesses,” Anthony Satchell told us. “I also worked on developing stronger chemistry with my teammates.” Waters and Green echoed Satchell, adding that their offseason work must continue everyday in practice.

The Reading Tip Off will renew a rivalry of sorts between Constitution and Berks, a rivalry that everyone on the Constitution side is excited about. As Randolph put it: “We are excited to play a rival team that we haven’t played in a few years and excited to play in the environment that the fans of Berks Country will provide.”

What will it take to take home a win Friday night in front of a raucous Berks crowd? The same thing it will take to succeed all season long: trust, focus and consistency. Tamir Green said it best, “Everyone has to be on the same page. Trust, family, and hard work is key.”

Friday’s game time is scheduled for 6:30 pm at Albright College. Tickets are on sale now online. Click her to purchase your tickets!
