5:34 PM- Aaron Calixte’s 16 points lead NE Playaz (Mass.) to a 61-56 victory over Move Your Feet (N.J.) to capture the 17u championship. —@pfebbraro

5:17 PM– Albany City Rocks (N.Y.) captured the 15u championship with a 46-34 win over Metro Heat (Mass.). Howard Washington lead Albany City with 14 points. —@pfebbraro

4:20 PM- The Northeast Shooters (N.Y.) captured the 16u Championship at the Hoop Group Providence Jam Fest on teh strength of a 62-57 win over CT Elite. Joel Wincowski and Joe Shahadi scored 14 apiece to lead Northeast. —@pfebbraro

3:39 PM- Behind 15 points from Perry DeLorenzo and 10 from Joel Wincowski, the Northeast Shooters (N.Y.) have opened up a 34-18 halftime lead on CT Elite in the 16u Championship game. —@pfebbraro

3:09 PM – The New England Playaz topped the New Jersey Select Stars 60-40 while Move Your Feet (N.J.) beat Qc United (Can.) 60-57 in a thrilling finish that saw United almost force overtime. The Playaz and Move Your Feet meet in the 17u final this evening. — @terrence_payne

1:43 PM- The finals in the 16u bracket are set after victories by Northeast Shooters (N.Y.) and CT Elite at the RIC-Rec Center this afternoon.
Joe Shehadi (5-9/Burr and Burton Academy, Vt. /2015) scored a game-high 19 points in Northeast’s 64-57 win over NJ Shoreshots while the defensive play of  Derron Dunbar (6-1/Universty HS, Conn./2015) and Tracy Rumley (5-10/Platt, Conn./2015) off the bench keyed CT Elite’s 61-50 victory over Wayne PAL (N.J.). — @pfebbraro

12:42 PM – The finals for the 15u final is all set. The Albany City Rocks (N.Y.) will take on the Metro Heat (Mass.) following wins Sunday afternoon at the Murray Center.

The City Rocks jumped out to a big lead against Team Noah and never looked back, cruising to a 64-33 win. Anthony Gaines (Kingston/2016) had a game-high 16 points. Joelle Martin had 15 points for Noah. Metro Heat trailed at half, but gained the lead early in the second half and held on to a close 46-41 win over the Harlem Jets (N.Y.)

Theses two teams will play at 4:30 PM in the final. — @terrence_payne

12:21 PM – Qc United (Can.) and Move Your Feet (N.J.) will meet in one of the 17u semifinals after both teams stayed undefeated. Qc United knocked off Hawks Hargraves (N.Y.) 62-42 while Move Your Feet survived a comeback from the BC Eagles (N.Y.). The Eagles had a chance to force overtime with a 3-pointer, but a steal by Mason Jones (Manchester Township/2014) secured the win. — @terrence_payne

12:16 PM- Owen McLeod (6-1/Bishop Ahr/2014) layed in the winning basket with two seconds left as NJ Select Stars defeated the Tri-City Warriors (NJ) 65-63 to advance to the 17u Final Four.
McLeod finished with six points while both Corey Taite (5-7/Sayerville Memorial/2014) and Ashton Lofton (6-0/Union Catholic/2014)  netted 14 in the victory.
NE Playaz (Ma.), which defeated House of Sports (NY) 64-59, will face NJ Select Stars in the semifinals. —@pfebbraro

10:46 AM- CT Elite erased a 10 point halftime deficit and rode CJ Davidson’s (Notre Dame of Fairfield/2015) 19 points to a 55-50 victory over Game 7 Sharks (NJ) to advance to the Final Four in the 16u bracket.
Thomas Nolan (Fairfield Prep/2015) added 17 points for CT Elite.
Advancing to face CT Elite is Wayne PAL (NJ).
Wayne defeated NJ Shoreshots Connor 47-36 thanks to a tough physical style of play which countered every run Shoreshots made.
Jalani Morris (6-0/John F. Kennedy/2015) nailed a key 3-pointer down the stretch while Cheyenn Robertson’s (6-3/Seton Hall Prep/2015) presence in the paint and ability to draw a key charge helped Wayne advance. —@pfebbraro

10:26 AM – A pair of teams have advanced to the final four in the 16u bracket. New Jersey Shoreshots knocked off CM3 Hoops 51-48 behind 22 points from Jack Laffey (CBA/2015). The wing was fouled with 24 second remaining and sank a pair of free throws to put the Shoreshots up for good. Point guard Luke O’Shaunghessy (CBA/2015) made a key steal the play before on the CM3 in-bounds pass to set up Laffey’s heroic foul shots. On Court Two, the Northeast Shooters escaped with a 47-43 victory over High Rise (N.Y.) —  @terrence_payne

9:26 AM- The first half of the 15u Final Four bracket is set after the first set of games at RIC Rec.
PJ Chung (5-11/Forest Hills/2016) scored a game-high 21 points and Joelle Martin (5-11/LC Berg/2016) added 19 as Team Noah (NY) defeated Gladiators (Ct.) 79-72.
Team Noah will face the Albany City Rocks (NY) at 11:40 AM. Albany defeated Hilltopper Heat Metro (NJ) 55-48. —@pfebbraro

8:00AM- Ready to tip off championship Sunday starting with the 15U Division. Peter Febbraro will be at RIC-Rec covering the 15’s on their way to the championship! Elsewhere there are a lot of competitive consolation bracket games going on. All day yesterday teams were playing hard fought games and all indications point to more of that this morning.
