Breein Tyree’s 20 points helped Sports U hold off Team Takeover (DC) 51-45.

Team Takeover Ty Lawson (DC) topped DC Assault Blue 60-41. Randall Brode’s 13 was the team-high for Takeover.

DC Assault claimed the last spot in the Final Four with a 67-62 win over Team Takeover Caron Butler (DC) 67-62. Anthony Cowan netted 17 to lead DC Assault. —@pfebbraro

10:16 AM- Sports U Izod’s Hakim Santil only scored three points, but they came when his team needed it most. The 2014 guard drained a three-pointer from the corner at the buzzer to secure a 42-39 win over VA Assault to advance to the Final Four. Sports U 2014 forward Quadri Moore scored a game-high 14 points, which included two three-pointers, while VA Assault 2014 forward Clint Robinson led his respective team with 13 points. —@AndrewKoob

9:38 AM- Some sloppy play between Sports U IZod and VA Assault, with the score 20-18 at the half in favor of Assault. Both teams had a rough 10 minute stretch to start out the game, as both teams had only scored eight points each at the six minute mark, but VA Assault forward Clint Robinson has been active on the both ends of the court, blocking a couple shots on defense and putting up a nice dunk on offense. —@AndrewKoob

9:28 AM- DC Assault came out to play in this 17U Elite 8 matchup against homestanding Boo Williams. Maryland commit Melo Trimble scored nine of DCA’s first 11 points and added a highlight-level alley oop pass in the process. With four minutes remaining in the first half, Assault holds a 25-18 lead. —@Edgar_Walker

8:45 AM- One player impressing early this morning is Isaiah Martin (2014/Gwynn Park) for Maryland’s Finest. A 6-foot-5 wing forward with a mid-range game and a good work rate on the offensive boards, Martin could be an intriguing prospect for the low Division I level. —@Edgar_Walker
