11:59PM- We R 1 road Todd Hughes, Jr.’s (6-4/Sanford/2014) 16 points to a second round victory over LVBR in the 17U bracket.

The Westchester Hawks also advanced in the 17U bracket with an 80-70 win over Team Adidas. Kenneth Lee (6-3/Salisbury/2014) led the Hawks with 23.

Meanwhile Anthony Firsker’s (6-3/Manalapan/2013) 18 points led the NJ Cyclones over the NY Panthers and Evan Taylor’s (6-5/Paul VI/2014) 13 helped Team Takeover defeat the BC Eagles 60-46 to round out 17U play at Westtown.

DC Assault topped Northeast Shooters 66-52 in the evenings final 16U game. —@pfebbraro

9:51PM- Behind 19 points from CJ Keyser (6-4/Patterson Mill/2015) Mid Atlantic Select topped Hawks-Hargraves  65-54 to advance to the third round of the 17U bracket.

NYC Jayhawks also advanced to the third round by defeating Team Melo 77-64. Tawayne Anderson, Jr. (6-5/Long Island Lutheran/2013) led the Jayhawks with 22 points.

The DC Warriors also advanced in the 17U bracket with an 81-54 win over the Game 7 Sharks.

In the 16U bracket Team Loaded Shelton scored a 50-39 victory over NJ ShoreShots. —@pfebbraro

9:11PM- JB Hoops and LA Rockfish putting on a show at Competitive Sports Edge, with Rockfish leading 40-36 with less than five minutes to play. —@AndrewKoob

8:05PM- Headquarters here at Competitive Edge Sports is packed right now! Players, parents, and college coaches all soaking in the Friday night atmosphere. We’re moving into 2nd Round action in the 17U Championship bracket, and some of the heavyweight teams in attendance are taking the floor the first time after a first round bye. —@Edgar_Walker

7:46PM- From 17U action at Westtown High School The City topped LL Running Rebels 60-51. Isaiah Gurley (6-3/George Westinghouse HS/2014) led The City with 14 points.

Daniel Pillari’s (5-11/Shore Regional/2014) 21 points led Game 7 Sharks to a 70-65 win over Flint’s Finest.

NYC Jayhawks 79, United NJ 57

Hawks-Hargraves 78, Annandale 63

In 16 U play Team Philly defeated Game 7 Sharks White 76-19. —@pfebbraro

7:20PM- The 16u bracket got started off with a bang at Competitive Sports Edge, with Team Loaded Gore trampling CWB White 77-37. 2015 wing Deshawn Corprew led the way with 24 points. —@AndrewKoob

3:52 PM – Greetings from Philly ! Tonight at 6:05 p.m. the Hoop Group’s 2013 Philly Jam Fest will kickoff at 13 sites around the greater-Philadelphia and include some of the nation’s best Open Division, 17U, 16U, 15U and 14U AAU teams in the country.
