Providence Jam Fest: Move Your Feet Continues To Do So From Philly to Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Move Your Feet (N.J.) stays true to its name.

A week after making a run into the quarterfinals at the Philly Hoop Group Jam Fest, Move Your Feet has made its way to Rhode Island and continued its success with a perfect record on Day One of Providence Jam Fest.

Move Your Feet began the day with a double-digit win over BC Eagles-Nutt, then followed that performance up in the afternoon with a win against Team Long Island. The New Jersey travel team has a brief break before they return to the Murray Center floor at Rhode Island College for Day Two at 10:30 a.m. against BC Eagles (N.Y.).

“I keep them going all the time, so they can get all the looks that they want,” Don Chee. “I just bring them to the court and I leave it to them.”

Last weekend at the Philly Jam Fest, Move Your Feet had statement wins over teams like Competitive Edge (Pa.), Connecticut Basketball Club (CBC) and DC Assault – Farrington before being taken out by a tough Sports U (N.J.) opponent, which ended up a tournament finalist.

“It was good,” said Move Your Feet guard Mason Jones, who plays for Manchester Township during the school year. We had a good team all along, we just started getting out chemistry together. We can play with the best of them.”

Chemistry helped, but so did adding point guard Bryan Rivers, who had played for Chee years ago.

“Having Bryan at the point guard helps ups a lot,” said Chee.

Move Your Feet is in a good position to play well into the evening on Sunday during a week in which most teams tend to take a break after the rigors of he April Live period.

Regardless of how the Providence Jam Fest ends, Move Your Feet will be back on the move heading Southern Jam Fest next weekend in Hampton, Va. That’s followed the next weekend for Rumble in the Bronx. The June calendar is also pretty full all leading up to a stacked July Live period schedule for the New Jersey club.

“I have these guys playing all the time,” said Chee.
