Hoop Group and the basketball community mourn the loss of Max Holden, son of Ranney's Head Basketball Coach and former NCAA Champion Tahj Holden, who passed away last night after his battle with Neuroblastoma.
Max, at just age three, will leave a lasting impression on the players, fans, and the entire basketball community lucky enough to meet him. Max and his family were relentless in his battle, entering year two of treatment with promising results. In the past few months, the Holden family received the devastating news that Max's Cancer was back again and had spread to his brain, shoulders, shins, knees, and possibly his hips. Again, Max continued to fight until March 24th when his parents, Carrie and Tahj Holden, held his hands as he passed.
Max's smile and time with us is an inspiration to all.
