Fall NXT GEN Final Recap
Our first ever Fall NXT GEN circuit was amazing, thank you to all the programs, families & players who competed in over 300 games across 3 events! Our circuit was full of high-level talent, well coached teams, and excellent competition. Below are some teams and players who left their stamp on NXT GEN!
Championship Teams
8th Grade NXT Champions: NJ Shoreshots Elite
Initiated by a dominant performance from Omar Ayyash, NJ Shoreshots Elite secured the 8th Grade NXT Division Championship with a 63-45 Win over a talented DPS Team Success squad. Shoreshots held their opponents to 41 points per game on the weekend while sharing the ball at an elite rate.
8th Grade GEN Champions: North Star
Capping off a dominant season North Star secured the 8th Grade GEN crown with a 67-59 win over Topp Tier MD. Anchored by Osa Adeghe and Josiah Cosmeus, North Star was dominant all circuit finishing with a 9-1 record.
7th Grade NXT Champions: NJ Scholars Black
The 6th Seed, NJ Scholars Black avenged losses to previously undefeated LI Lightning Select and NJ Shoreshots Nitro to win the 7th NXT Division. Standout performances by Ahmeir Eaton, Kaison David, Jayshauni Lewis dominated the 7th NXT division.
7th Grade GEN Champions: Hood Enriched
With some clutch buckets late Hood Enriched secured the 7th GEN Division defeating NJ Shoreshots Heat in overtime. Hanif Nixon-Hughes was the most dominant player in 7th GEN division for Hood Enriched, earning 1st Team All Circuit honors.
6th Grade Co-Champions: NJ Scholars Black & White
Co-Champions, the NJ Scholars 6th grade teams made impressive runs this fall. A talented group with standouts Chase Sylvain, Obi Azikiwe, Jeremy Duncan, and Christopher Kang
5th Grade Champions: Caveman
Capping off an undefeated season Caveman 5th Grade defeated NJ Shoreshots Spartans, Hood Enriched, & East Coast Power Heinerichs to secure the 5th grade title. A dominant squad, Caveman's defense, ball movement, and shot making set them apart all circuit long.
