Fall NXT GEN: Scranton Review

Our first NXT GEN event of the year was amazing, thank you to all the programs, families, and players who made the trip to Scranton. Game sets were full of high-level talent, well coached teams, and excellent competition. With our Fall circuit heating up we would like to highlight some players and teams that stood out in Scranton:

Standout Teams

K-Low Elite 8th Grade NXT

K-Low made noise this weekend going 4-0 behind a mix of ball pressure, unselfishness, and dominant guard play. One thing that makes K-Low stand out is their depth, whether it's their starting five or last man on the bench everyone on the team leaves a mark on the game. Their depth mixed with ball movement and talent make this group one to watch for years to come.

Caveman 5th Grade

A dominant performance in Scranton, Caveman is the early favorite in the 5th grade age group. What makes this group stand out the most is their full court pressure, consistently forcing turnovers, getting out on the break, and turning steals into layups. A must watch team in the fall NXT Gen circuit.

TDJ Elite 7th Grade GEN

A new program, TDJ Elite made a name for themselves in their first weekend together. Led by standouts Aiyden Felix, Kai Dawson-Davis, Damon Sebastin Jr, & Aryian Rahman, TDJ Elite was a machine this weekend. Watch out for TDJ Elite, their 3-2 halfcourt trap, and lighting quick guards the rest of the fall circuit.

United NJ 8th Grade NXT

Coming off a 4-0 start United NJ has all the tools to compete with any team in the NXT Gen circuit. An elite defensive unit, United NJ held their opponents to an average of 29.5 points per game in Scranton. Spearheaded by the pressure of Jake Ellis and anchored inside by Shelton Gibbs III & Brendon, United NJ has the potential to slow down any offense they face.

Team Elevation 5th Grade

Undefeated in the first session, Team Elevations 5th grade plays beyond their years. With 3 games decided by 7 points or less, Elevation showed poised in big moments, knocking down free throws and getting crucial stops. An energetic group, Team Elevation showed they are ready to compete with anyone.
