Congratulations to all the members of
THE 2025 HOOP GROUP ALL-FRESHMAN TEAM. This without question was the hardest team to pick in recent memory. Some very talented players have made a case to be on this team. But we can only choose 6 players and today we release the 2025 ALL FRESHMAN TEAM
CASEY ZAMMIT is of the best Freshman to enter Holmdel. She just got vindication this season. Casey had one of the most productive freshman seasons at Holmdel in years.. She stuffed the box sheet all season long. She had 272 points 72 rebounds and 46 assists.she did all this well being asked to the run and organize the Holmdel offense all season. She had also had time to drop 49 three's on the season. . She at times this season appeared unstoppable with her dynamic athletic moves at the rim. Her best games came against the best competition. She had 18 points vs RFH and 11 vs SJV., while playing in the best division in the state.
She was given m the ultimate compliment to a freshman as her Coach, by giving her her the ball night in a night out. Only the geats are afforded this type of trust. Her toughness and aggressive style of play made up for teams lack of experience. . Her ability to get to the rim off the bounce or on the offensive glass was a serious weapon. Her quickness and deceptive speed. allowed her to defend some of the best offensive players in the Shore conference. She is clearly on her way to being a Holmdel great. It is clear that CASEY ZAMMIT has now established herself as one of the best 2025's in the Shore Conference. It will be no surprise when she wears a Division One uniform one day and is named ALL SHORE IN THE NEAR FUTURE.Congratulations to Casey ZAMMIT a
2025 ALL SHORE MEMBER
Casey Zammit grew up quickly this season, stepping into a varsity starting role as a freshman and proving she belonged. She learned on the fly, adapted to every challenge, and executed at a high level—qualities that make her truly special. A student of the game with a high basketball IQ, Casey sees the floor exceptionally well and embraces every challenge thrown her way. Not only was she our primary ball handler, but she also took on the toughest defensive matchups against some of the best guards in the state. Nearly scoring 250 points in her freshman campaign, Casey's impact went far beyond the stat sheet. She's a competitor, a leader in the making, and, most importantly, just a really cool kid to coach… Holmdel Head Coach, Jessica Venturelli
EMILY DONAHUE of COLTS NECK was spectacular from day one of the season. She also was one of the best two way babies in the Shore. Her ability to score and defend was welcome surprise for Coach Russo and Colts Neck. But it's her mental toughness, competitive nature and IQ that separates her from so many other young guards. She spent the entire season as a starter. But it just seemed when the light shined brightest, Emily was at her very best. She was a model of consist with 205 points, 53 assists , 50 rebounds and 47 steals . She had a season high of 21.points and numerous double figure scoring games. She ran her team regardless if. It was from the point or shooting guard position. Her ability to score at all three levels is flat out elite for such a young player. Her classy style of play is almost a throwback. It's safe to say Emily is going to be one of the best guards in New Jersey the next 3 years. Emily Donahue one day will be one of the best players in the SHORE. There is no question All Shore is in her future. She is one of the most skilled and talented guards to enter the Shore Conference in years.
CONGRATULATIONS to EMILY DONAHUE ON BRING A MEMBER OF THE 2025 HOOP GROUP ALL FRESHMAN TEAM.
Emily is a prototypical point guard who sees the floor particularly well and is always looking to get her teammates involved. She understands the game extremely well and is a coach on the floor. She didn't play her natural position for most of the season but still ended up as our 2nd leader scorer and top 3 pt shooter…. Colts Neck Head Coach, Nick Russo
JULIANNA "JULES" JASINA of COLTS NECK Is flat out one of the most competitive kids to enter the Shore this season.'. Tough as nails and plays with a total edge on the defensive side of the ball. She showed she had the ability to handle the ball against tough defenders. She stepped up all year for Coach Russo. Her basketball IQ was as reliable as her consistency all season long. Julia's numbers were staggering. She scored 336 points, had 164 rebounds. 28 assists and 43 steals. These are off the charts numbers for any player, much less a senior. She is evolving into one of he best babies not only in the shore but the state as well. Her elite-shot selection and off the charts decision making, jump off the page. But it's the intangibles that make her so very special. She is a lose ball monster, plays hard each night and most importantly loves the dirty work. He ability to get to the rim and finish is special for such a young player. She was the biggest reason COLTS NECK was one of the surprise teams in the Shore this year. JULIANNA "JULES" JASINA, should not come as a surprise. She was listed as one of the best incoming freshman in the shore before the season started. She just backed it up her with a stellar freshman season. She is a future star one and would be wise to invest in a pair of sunglasses, because her future looks very bright.
Congratulations to JULIANNA "JULES" JASINA a 2025 HOOP GROUP ALL FRESHMAN TEAM MEMBER
Jules far exceeded our expectations this season. She was our leading scorer and rebounder. 12.9 pts/7 rebs. She is a very hard worker who will expand her game in the coming seasons. Jules was our go to player this season and we expect her to add a perimeter game next season as well… Colts Neck Head Coach, Nick Russo
CALISTA VOWTERAS of MANASQUAN is one of the biggest surprises to make THE ALL FRESHMAN. She did so by not being a box score junkie. She did so by doing the intangibles. She has next level competitive nature. There is no doubt she will be a DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR CANDIDATE IN THE YEARS TO . Her quick hands and explosive first step are as impressive as it get. She is a true warrior. No member of our All Freshman teams in recent years took more advantage of their minutes on a top team. She flashed her rebounding and passing skills all season. Again she was not a box score junkie. She did the winning things on a great team all season. She showed her versatility by playing all three guards positions this year. She knew when the light shined brightest and when her team needed her to play mistake free basketball in big moments. No freshman on this list played under more pressure in bigger moments than her. She showed up with no hype but with lots of game. She started the season with not much of a reputation but ended the year as a top freshman. She has a big future ahead of her. Like wearing a D1 uniform. She becomes the first Manasquan freshman to make ALL FRESHMAN FIRST TEAM since Olivia Shaughnessy. If she was on any other team
Antonia Jackson may have walked away with the Freshman of the Year award. No freshman was more polished under pressure this season. Her cool, calm demeanor in big games was downright scary at times. No freshman was willing to take big shots and express herself more in a big stage. Her basketball IQ is next level right now. She never takes backs down from a challenge and always makes the right decision. Coach Karpell threw her into the fire and she delivered for SJV Well under commitment pressure. Antonia 's ability to play defense was as impressive as her offensive skills. Her ability to move without the ball is next level right now. She just may have been the most prepared and complete baby in the Shore. Her competitive edge was on display all year. It may be the reason she improved all season. KENZIE KLATSKY put a team on her back as freshman. She saw double teams and game planning all season. Yet she still scored 368 points and had 87 threes. She was a big reason everyone was shocked by the season Marlboro had. The crafty guard proved she is not only a scoring machine but also highly efficient. Her consistency was breath taking this season. She scored in double figures in every game except three. She had multiple 20 but scoring games. She is a future ALL SHORE PLAYER and the face of Marlboro basketball for years to come. For these reasons
