KATIE COLLINS- SENIOR – MANASQUAN

For much of the season, Katie Collins was the best player in the Shore Conference. It all started with her show stopping performance vs OCEAN and her electric performance in Manasquan's big upset against RBC. Then she capped it off with an award winning goodbye present in the state group 2 chip game. Katie Collins finally gets her due making The Hoop Group 1st Team. She was one of the most efficient players in the state. It was Katie who did all the dirty work for Manasquan in the lane both on offense and defense. Her versatility was an issue for every opponent. Her ability to play the point forward position was just another example of her special skill sets. Katie Collins was one of the most unselfish players not only in the shore, but the states well. Her elite shot selection and magical passing skills seem to be on display all season. She gave Manasquan whatever they needed game to game. If they needed timely scoring, rebounding or defense, she provided it for them. Katie Collins has quietly put together one of the best seasons and careers at Manasquan. She goes on that short list as one of the school's best players. She also walks away with 3 state titles during her time at Manasquan. She is one of the most improved players over the course of any career we have seen in recent times. She will attend the UNIVERSITY OF PENN WHARTON SCHOOL next fall. Her ability to score at allthree levels certainly will be welcomed from day one at UPenn. Now the humble, hard working gym rat finally gets her due as one of the very best. Congratulations to 2024 HOOP GROUP FIRST TEAM ALL SHORE MEMBER, KATIE COLLINS

Katie is a high IQ, versatile player who can impact the game in so many ways. Whether it be initiating transition, attacking off the drive, pulling from the perimeter or defending around the basket, Katie's performance on the floor propelled our team's success. On top of that, she is a great teammate who enhances the locker room and leads by example. She has been a true pleasure to coach and has a bright future ahead of her, both on the floor and in life in general. She has all the tools for success!

JULIA KARPELL- SENIOR – ST. JOHN VIANNEY

It seems Julia Karpell has been around forever. The thought of her no longer wearing a SJV uniform seems unthinkable. She is now a two time First Team AllShore Member.  This season she was forced to beat her leadership best. So she went out with a loud bang this season. Her performance in the SCT was once again another clutch performance. No player in recent history has made more big shots than JULIA KARPELL. This year was again, no different than any other year. She has become the first player to win 4 straight SCT titles in conference history. Her ability to lead a team has no match in recent times. But it was her flexibility that so many missed during the season. It was Julia Karpell that rolled to the point guard position when SJV faced pressure or needed to get into an important set. It was Julia Karpell that played the post player role when SJV needed a big bucket in the SCT. It was Julia Karpell who may have been the best weak side defender in the entire state. It was Julia Karpell who is the best post passer in the state. While many box score junkie stars were focused on stats, Julie Karpell was focused on winning. She won every championship you can possibly win at the high school level. She will leave SJV as the greatest winner in the Shore and State history. She will go down in history as one of the best players to ever wear a uniform at SJV. She will attend  FAIRFIELD UNIVERSITY in the fall. Congratulations to 2024 HOOP GROUP ALL SHORE FIRST TEAM MEMBER JULIA KARPELL.

Julia was a definition of leadership this season as our team transitioned to 4 new starters and a brand new rotation of players. She did everything the coaching staff asked leading  her teammates on and off the court. She played her best game of the season in the sct championship and went out a 4 time champ.

As her mom and coach I am going to miss having her in the gym with me everyday. I am so proud of the person she has become and can't wait to see her continued her
Career at Fairfield .

ADDY NYEMCHECK- SOPHOMORE- RED BANK CATHOLIC

Some believe Addy Nyemcheck is the most talented player in the Shore Conference. Her size, length and quickness are special. This season, on the biggest stages, she delivered her best performances. She led RBC in just about every statistical category, but it was how she did it that was so dynamic. The bigger the game and the opponent, the more she stepped up. The female "LARRY BIRD" is perhaps the most complete player in recent Shore history. She clearly had a case for Player of the year. She was All Defensive First Team this season; becoming just the 3rd Sophomore to accomplish the feat. She joins that rare group of players that is first team All defensive and 1st Team All Shore. She is the first sophomore to ever garnish this title. Her offensive versatility simply is in a world of its own. Her passing and rebounding skills are clearly built for a future national championship type program. But it was her masterful shooting from the three and ability to post up that was star like just about every evening. Her willingness to be a teammate made her most special. Never concerned with stats, she wound up stuffing the stat sheet anyway. Her timely box vs EWING to save the game for SJV was just another example of her big play making ability on both sides of the ball. Last year's Freshman of the Year title, seems to just be just the first of Addy Nyemcheck awards to come. ADDY has become the face of the Shore Conference in 2 short years. She is on track to one day be the state player of the year and to be a Shore Conference all time great. Congratulations TO 2024 HOOP GROUP ALL SHORE FIRST TEAM MEMBER ADDY NYEMCHECK

She's so bright and so instinctive, and she does things that only a few have been able to do

DEVYN QUIGLEY- SENIOR -MANCHESTER

Devyn Quigley just completed another off the charts season. For the 2nd season in a row, Devyn Quigley is a Hoop Group 1st Team member. For the 2nd year in a row, she was the most explosive offensive player in the state of New Jersey. She finishes her career as the leading scorer in Manchester and Shore history with 2589 points. She averaged 32.7 PPG and 10.4 RPG on the season. She scored 50 points three times this season;including a career-high 58 points against Ranney, in a year many believed would be a total rebuild season. She had Manchester in the Top 10 for most of the season. Since being named to the All Freshman Team 4 years ago, she has established herself as one of the best players in the entire state of New Jersey. Her 27 points and 17 rebounds led Manchester to a signature win over Top 10 and State Finalist Howell. The past two seasons by Quigley have been perhaps the most dominant offensive season we have seen in Shore history. But lost in all this has been Devyn Quigley leadership and drive. Despite facing double and triple teams the past two seasons, she has managed to not only put up massive stats, but her team has been one of the best teams in Ocean County. This season there was no debate who the best team and player was in the county. It's another reason why many believe Devyn Quigley is one of the best players in Manchester's storied history.  Next Fall, DEVYN will attend nationally ranked NORTH CAROLINA STATE. Congratulations to 2024 HOOP GROUP FIRST TEAM ALL SHORE MEMBER DEYVN QUIGLEY

Devyn Quigley is a once in a life time talent.  Devyn gave us an opportunity to win every time we touched the floor and faced double and triple teams consistently throughout the season.  Although she is the Shore Conference all time leading scorer her impact went way beyond the offensive end.  Her ability to guard one through five allowed us to create the best matchups possible for our team defensively and her knowledge of the game always put us in a position to succeed.  Devyn's impact on game day is irreplaceable in our program but her leadership will be felt for years to come.  She has left behind the qualities needed to be a champion to all of her teammates and she has just scratched the surface of her own abilities.  Her continued improvement at North Carolina State will be fun to watch.

Eli

ELI CKARK- SENIOR – OCEAN TWP

Eli Clark just completed one of the most unexpected careers in Shore history. Eli had another historic season in her final year: she led Ocean Twp to their 2nd consecutive Division title after they had not won one in 25 years, her team was ranked in the the state Top 20 poll, and she scored her 1000th point. Ocean was ranked in the Top 4 in the Shore Conference and made it back to the Group 3 State Final. Eli Clark took Ocean from the outhouse to the penthouse. She simply is the best point guard and player in recent Ocean Twp history. She is the first Ocean Twp player to make the Hoop Group ALL SHORE 1st Team. But what is being forgotten is none of this was expected before her arrival. She is the ultimate warrior and leader both on and off the court; making her a winning teammate. Not only did she run the show for Ocean, she elevated her teammates' games. She had big scoring nights when called upon to do so. Her 400 points this season went unnoticed by most, as did her 102 rebounds and whopping 172 dimes on the season. These are shocking numbers from the point guard position. She was an anchor on defense. Her ability to step away and knock down jumpers was a developed skill set she turned into a weapon. She set the tone for OCEAN TWP'S mental and physical toughness every night. Before her arrival, Ocean Twp did not win a conference game the previous season. Her last two years at Ocean, she helped champion two Division titles. I think that says it all. ELI CKARK will attend D1 Lemoyne University in Syracuse. She will bring the ultimate work ethic and a ton of big game experience. She also will bring a winning pedigree. Congratulations to HOOP GROUP 2024 FIRST TEAM ALL-SHORE MEMBER ELI CLARK.

Eli has grown into an exceptional leader on and off the court. While her basketball abilities and progression over the years have been a result of her commitment and hard work, it's her leadership that has stood out the most in the past few years. She has set the example for what we should expect from players and how to have an exceptional high school career.  We could all use a few more Eli's on our team.
